What the actual F? It’s terrible enough that it DOWNGRADES my bags to peasantly 22 slots and throws everything into mail so I can sort everything all out again… but it also wiped my UI and emptied all my hotbars???
It should clearly warn you, in-game, that it will reset and empty ALL your hotbars, dump all you have in your inventory into the mail so you can sort if out again! It should say clearly that your currently equipped gear and bags will be swapped out and auto-equipped! I expected the new stuff to be mailed to me (I know, how stupid of me to be so logical), NOT to auto-replace my currently equipped gear!
Gear update should just be gear update, not an annoyance totally agree.
Still waiting for Blizzard to fix their game adress their issues.

Your old bags will be in your mail, so you have some free 22 slot bags to use in your bank or something.
But I do agree that wiping the Action Bars isn’t very helpful. They will have been set up while leveling some time ago and you’ll remember how to play the class (assuming this is an idle alt) soon enough by just reading the tool tips of the abilities in your Action Bars.
