That we don’t know yet. It might be just the covenant specific ones, just with auto-swap.
Which one is the Hunter set? On the left?
And what class is the middle with the skull head-piece?
I think DK.
Hunter might be bottom left (hawk).
Pfff… The hunter have the ugliest set again…
Amen! finally they understand that thing
i think this is one of the miserable and offensive post ive read lately. level of your silliness: 1000.
Shame on you.
Revert da drop value back to legion + Bonus rolls and we are Gucci mon’
Is this a time-gated catch-up? Will they unlock a sped-up acquisition or unlock an account-wide currency at some point?
This is just what the game needs, another system, with another currency (or maybe more than one).
I’m not even rank 4 with Korthia Codex so I hope whatever this new system is that it’s faster.
I hope it’s more alt-friendly than Korthia is.
I remain to be convinced they’ve learnt anything. I’ve grown weary of systems and frustrated with currencies. My tolerance of these is slender these days.
you can turn any 9.2 gear into a tier set piece with the currency. So this should include open world gear.
Edit :
They mention learning from the mistakes of the 8.3 echoes which were earned from running the visions and the open world weekly assaults. And that we’ll get it from every end game activity
This sounds a lot like Valor or even AP to me, especially considering how this time there’s not another currency to grind & use as keys to farm the echoes.
As for Korthia, if you ever decide to go through the farm then you should at least know that it’s now easily 5 times faster with the new upgrades compared to 9.1’s launch.
It just shows who doesn’t read my posts
Some feedback regarding Elemental Shaman Tier set bonuses specifically.
-
2-set: If the goal is to improve the value of the elemental cooldowns generally, then adding a SE variant that changes with your talent choice should be reasonable. % damage increase to LB and make ES/EQ off-gcd for the duration of SE (?)
-
4-set: The extending feature is good for encouraging the intended playstyle for something like FE, as LvBs will scale with targets present and start to shine in specific circumstances (which frustratingly are fairly rare anyway) but it might well make more sense to continue ramping damage instead of ramping duration if the overall goal of the tier bonus is to improve our cooldown window,
i.e. your damage or stats are increase by x when you spend maelstrom, and y when you cast LvB (allowing this tuning knob because FE does both, SE only wants to do one). -
If the cdr provided isn’t going to be static, then I’d rather not have it at all and increase the power of the window generated instead.
This is because the presumed intention of empowering a cooldown window is to make it more impactful, when cooldowns have more impact being able to time them effectively increases in importance. If your cooldown has RNG attached to it, you cannot do this reliably and it questions the relevance of the CDR effect at all, and if power is being budgeted with CDR in mind - given we already have ways to reduce Elemental cooldowns via other effects - that CDR should be reliable and not subject to RNG.
(RNG already plagues enough of Elemental shaman’s borrowed power in the form of Conduits, lets not add more when it has no positive payoff.)

Set does seem clearly aimed at improving single target over aoe, which is probably another reason for the confusing effect on SE (and can lead to using LvB in aoe scenarios with the sole purpose of extending SE long enough to use a second full EotS cast, should you know the current pull will last that long and/or you can time the second one with an add spawn, etc). My personal feelings about LB spam aside, I’m not sure a tier set is appropriate for forcing anti-thematic behaviour within an optional cd but that’s largely subjective.
-
It’s the baggage caused by having two cooldowns attached together by a talent - that differ so much in their style of play that causes the tier set to seem like marmite. If you like intended FE gameplay, or MotE single target, then you will like this bonus. If you like using SE then its likely (but not necessary) that this bonus will rub you the wrong way. Without redesign I’m not seeing a way around that.

Whilst this wouldn’t be the first time a tier set has shown particular favourites when it comes to Talent and Legendary synergies, due to the point raised above about the nature of SE/FE having completely different uses and styles, it comes across as particularly egregious to focus on one of them and simultaneously shoehorn the other into a playstyle it naturally wants to avoid. Yes, we’re all aware nobody is forced to play against their will but equally nobody wants to perform worse than they could whilst playing their preferred talent simply because the bonus encourages them to do a particular action.
Everything is just do damn complicated.
This is the 2nd time this week I’ve seen you have a go at Puny and Jito, are they not allowed to have their own views? and to be honest I’ve seen both of them calling out systems that are not working.
If you have a problem with them, then fine, but the only thing you’re likely to achieve is a forum vacation if you keep calling people out for no real reason other than they disagree with you.
I mean, everyone knows that you’re a Blizzard shill xD
