I was on firemaw first. The realm went to s*** because all the transfers towards Firemaw. Making me have very long queus. So I went to Gehennas, just in a couple months to experience the same thing. Every time I had rebuild all friends and learn new guildies to raid.
I find it normal to have a bit of queu in the heat of the moment. Many people looked forward to WOTLK. So queue 1-3 hours are acceptable.
But 10 hours queu? It showed 600 minutes (!!!) and 13.700 people infront of me. I mean, the only option I have is to migrate to a dead realm and seeing all the players from said dead realms complain here that their realm is dead, isnt very inviting.
Normally I would wait 10 hours queu and use script to never be logged off (like majority does). But today’s elektricity bills, make me reconsider this.

Yeh man force gehennas players to transfer to a 5 pop realm. That’s literally the worst offer you can make… They just need to fix their ish and not rob 40k players off 13 euros a month. They literally made 0 comments about this either! This should honestly not even be considered legal and I don’t even think it is right now…
Layers has absolutely nothing to do with queues. Its still the same service which handles the connections and there is a hard cap on that before things starts to go south
Unacceptable situation with the current 600 minute que on Gehennas. No chance to play at all. Great way to make room for other games to get your current customers attention.
yeah this is getting stupid now, Players essentially have a choice…wait a silly amount of time to be able to even login at peak times or transfer to a dead server.
Not acceptable, Blizzard need to sort it out, do whatever it takes, more server capacity, whatever it takes to fix it 6/7 hour waits to even login is taking the piss

I logged in at around 2:30pm ST, 293 mins left in queue as I type. During that time I slept a couple hours, cooked, cleaned, showered and now I just have to wait, off work till Saturday. One one hand I’m glad I got lvl80 last night, on the other hand kinda wish I had left it to today just so I could log on earlier, now I can’t play today.
I mean we all knew this was coming, lets not act surprised about this, it was absolutely clear and plain to see this would happen from the moment Firemaw Horde collectively transferred here for free.
Quite clearly the server is at full capacity and can’t handle more players without crashing, and Blizzard had not put in the time or resources to account for this ahead of time, there is no quick easy fix they have to solve the problem so we have to deal with it.
This is a problem they needed to prepare a fix for 9-12 months ago, with hardware/software solutions developed, they didn’t do that and so any possible fix is probably easily 6+ months away, and since that would be an investment they probably won’t bother.
I’m sure they knew this would happen, they just didn’t want to invest in preventing it, and now it’s too late, short of them forcing players to another server.
Blizzard. Give me an option to pay my way to skip que. Like add a VIP or Priority pass that never need to que for like 100 dollar extra per month or something…

This is a big fat lie, Gehennas was the 2nd largest server and already massive and overpopulated, when Firemaw horde transferred to Gehennas the population dwarfed Firemaw.
You just turned Gehennas into Firemaw while destroying the Firemaw faction balance, you didn’t go to Gehennas to avoid queues, never heard something so ridiculous.
