To whom it may concern, recently I’ve noticed that General chat is bugged for me, it only works in Orgrimmar and Dezar’alor but not Silvermoon nor Thunderbluff, not even the post-razed Undercity, why is that?

Have you tried to reset your chat channels? First off, type in: /resetchat and click accept. Once done, right click your chat tab and click on Settings. Here, double check that the chat channels are selected correctly.

Yes, hello, thank you for the response and apologies for my late respond, sadly, I have reset both my chat using the ingame reset button, and the reset chat command, neither works, the channel is enabled and can be seen, but is grayed out, and cannot be accessed using its /number designation unless in Orgrimmar/Stormwind Dezar’alor/Boralus
it seems that there is a chat bug… i cant send whispers and i cant send msgs into guild chat... i keep getting a screen message "Couldnt send message"
Same thing here for the whole guild - no one can see guild chat. Yes I have reset chat channels and restarted wow etc but nothing works and it is affecting everyone in the guild so not some local issue on my PC. PS no add-ons.

The thing is this issue is happening now none of my guild can chat it is on and off and this 8/1/21
Most of my guildmates are reporting same problem with not working chat.
The WoW client has just downloaded an update and I think the update has messed up the chat. Whispers now open in a new window as if I ever wanted that.
Don’t force me to accept something I didn’t order, Blizzard!
And where are the patch notes?
