No one considered the major downside which is just now becoming evident. When you get the mog it’s only usable on that class instead of 2-3 others.

I guess you don’t have alts. I speak for many players when I say we enjoyed being able to get the mog on one character and then use it on alts.

But that is why we like Class sets. It gives Class Identity.
Armour Types were quite sad time in WoW. Although the Design of the armor was really cool, they didn’t make your class stand out.
It’s much better the way it is.

It was great back in the day without recolors for type of armor or class armor
But Vault incarnates set is fine, I want to run Vault heroic and mythic VotI when it becomes 1 expansion old raid
I have plenty of alts. I don’t like the stuff that was going in BFA and Shadowlands in regards to armor.
They aren’t always to my taste, but I still collect all things plate.
I think class sets are awesome. I play ALOT of alts and honestly i like this. Class identity Needs to be rappresented both by abilityes and armour looks!

Buddy, you do realise that 10.1 is bringing BOTH class sets, AND epic armour type sets?
Finally, I’m not sure when you joined the game, but class have literally been one of the most beloved features since the game’s launch… Everybody was annoyed when they went away in BfA and SL…
More specificity. More heritage sets, more unique race/class combo ideas. More ridiculous looking stuff. More simple looking stuff. More “typeless” cosmetics. More specific cosmetics. Armours, weapons and appearances are one of the very few aspects of this game where more will always be more.

How about have both of them? They are not exclusive.
In DF, we have both of them. The vendor/token primalist sets are armor type based. And the tier sets are class based.
They give the best options for transmogs.
If you have icon class sets like Judgment set for Paladins then it makes sense to have them limited to Paladins.
To make sets work accross mutlitple classes then have to be made quite generic.
There is room in the game for both Class specific sets, themed around the class, and more generic sets that work more widely.
There are only Class sets from Raids (so only a few each expansion) but there is plenty of other gear out there.

No thanks, I like my class themes even if it’s fugly, doesn’t mean the rest of that gear wearing lot is gonna be ugly.
