Type Gold Selling WoW in google what will you see? Sponsored links to the sellers. Thing they had to pay for. In the same vein sellers have advertisement on YouTube. Both of thise required them to pay and to pay they need to be profitable. And Token didn’t change it
it will change as in retail… it makes gold so cheap it will not be profitable for them anymore… sure… there will be some… but it will drasticly decreese

this is like the biggest cope about tokens like ever … retail is as infested with bots and gold sellers as classic, especially with garbage like personal resource nodes and garbage mission tables …

Yes, maybe more people will buy a token or two now that it’s legal, but buying Shadowmourne ? I don’t think so. Let’s say Shadowmourne will cost around 2 mil gold. If the token gets up to 30k gold, it would require you to buy around 67 tokens to get 2 mil gold. That’s how much, 1340$ ? (And that’s only speculating, I’m guessing it will even go for more than 2 mil gold). So let’s face it, if anyone is willing to pay that much money for Shadowmourne, they would really not be bothered if there are tokens or not, they will simply buy the gold, legally or illegally . If they get banned - they will just buy another account. So the shadowmourne argument is invalid.

That is cheaper than Gressil, Dawn of Ruin in 25 naxx gdkp ( when you count for adjusted gold price ) , and people were buying for real money rights to farm for black qiraji battle tank. So there are deff gonna be people buying mourne and you are just same inteligence as classic lead team if you think otherwise .

you buy it with real money and person needs to buy FROM YOU FOR GOLD so he will get gold and you loose gold…people are getting dumper i swear aka nothing in economy is changed at all… it actualy makes gold cheaper for gold sellers to continue over time so its MASSIVE WIN at the end

It’s hard to say how inflated the economy is right now. On one hand, gold in WoTLK is worthless, flasks are down to 5g each on Gehennas; one daily quest will buy you a weeks worth of raid flasks. On retail the AH’s are all linked so the token price is the same regardless of realm, but on Classic each realm has its own economy; I’m not sure how that’ll affect the price.
Regardless, adding the token to Classic was stupid. People came to Classic to avoid future QoL features that turned the game into what it is. WoW token was one of them, probably the absolute worst for some people.
Blizzard gave us some rubbish about the “classic pillars of design”, then did this crap.

1340$ is not an amount gold buyers will shy away from. Besides, it would only cost 2 million gold in the current market. Once everyone buys gold the prices will be much, much higher.

Gold sellers will deploy more bots and optimize their farming mechanics to adjust for the increased volume of gold required to keep business afloat. Besides, buying WoW Token for gold purchased from china is cheaper than buying a 30-day sub from Blizzard, so gold sellers will have more customers now thanks to WoW Token.
