Get your new followers!

We don’t have mission table anymore, but we got something new, the followers dungeons. And we are getting the Delves, but we still don’t know exactly what it is and how it will work, or how fun players will feel.

For now, those followers seem to be less known npc’s, but what if, one day, we can have an entire team of followers from all classes and even specs to choose for our team.

Now, the main idea of this post, is about where and how to get new followers from.

So far, I find the trading post system boring for 2 reasons, I can get all the monthly points in 1 or 2 days without even working for it, so the rest of the month there is no goal, but that still doesn’t let me get all the available rewards, no matter how much I work. Sure, I like extra mounts and pets for my collections, but not enough tenders for anything else.

My suggestion here would be, create seasons that would last 3 months or 13 weeks. You would need 10.000 points for all the rewards of the season, with a cap of 1000 per week, increasing every week, like honor cap. So, if you only get 500 this week, you could get 1500 next week. And you could be done in 10 weeks, leaving 3 extra weeks for those that could be missing some points and rewards.

Every week would give 5 rewards, 1 every 200 points, and all seasons would start by giving you a follower. And that season theme would be around that same follower. By theme I mean, the mounts, pets, toys, transmogs. Not necessary all the rewards, but maybe most.

Also, some of the rewards, at least 1 every other week, should be some type of currency. When the season ends, all the rewards would go to a new vendor, to buy with that currency. So, imagine, you missed the entire first season, but you came back to WoW for the second, you get those new currency and it would allow you to buy some of the stuff you missed, including the follower.

It may seem too much, 5 rewards per week x 10 weeks is 50 rewards, but 3 months of trading post can have a lot more, you just don’t get enough coins for it all, no matter how much you play.

8 pieces set, plus 17 weapon types, gives 25, that’s half of the rewards, on themed transmogs alone. And yes, 17 weapons so all classes and specs would have a themed weapon transmog.

This way you would get weekly goals instead of monthly, and you would also enjoy it more because you know you would be able to get all the rewards from every season.

And the followers, each unique, different race, class and spec. They should also have unique personalities and make comments on us and our play style. Maybe even comments on other followers. The only question I have for you is, should we be able to change the follower spec, or they should stick to just one?

Also, until we get enough followers for a full team, we would use the Blizzard default followers to fill the spots.

And the cherry on top of the cake, would be if Blizzard launches contests for the community to create the next follower. Chose everything from race, class, spec, visuals and cloths or armor, and even name and/or personality. Would you try and create one?

In a way, this could be a Trading Post V2, but not much trade here since you get all the rewards from just playing the game, no need to buy anything.

We could even keep both systems up at same time, if they keep the Trading Post the way it is, and create this follower’s seasons, with different rewards and objectives.

I think the Delves and followers are something Blizzard will expand on in the future. They are probably threading lightly in the beginning just to see how it all turns out. With warbands in mind I really hope you could do Delves with your alts as followers in the future.

If we’ll ever get follower-content involving old expansions, i’d like for the followers to come from them too, imagine covenant-NPCs for SL, or garrison followers for WoD, something like that.

I find the minor NPCs more interesting than the ones Blizz likes to put the emphasis on, let me do delves or follower dungeons with Theotar the mad duke, or soulbinder Tulaani!

I am level 20 in Atal Dazar and Battle dungeon, I hope there is a future in the lower level dungeon with these mobs to reduce the wait time.

Dunno about you, I’m still working on getting all the followers from the inn.

Follower Tulaani and NPC Tulaani in Auchindoun staring at each other :astonished: :scream:

It will be similar to what has been introduced in eso recently

Obesitea, that is a good idea, I remember when lvling alts, to do dungeons with a dps class would take very long time, so if we can have the option to use followers, that would be cool.

Also, in this suggestion I make to get new followers, I guess we could include some already existing npc’s that players like, maybe with a vote system.
My self, I like Tehd Shoemaker and Marius Felbane, they are quite funny.
