Having read this thread, my take-away is that I should wait with logging into the game at all, at least for a few hours, yeah? 
At least hold off on anything involving the trading post for a little while, just to be on the safe side.

cmon blizz you took it down… for bugs? isnt that what the PTR and beta are for? you had bugless builds on them even for the xpac launch but didnt even use that data or build to put on live servers. is it all just pointless to do the ptr to help fix issues if that isnt even being used to put into live???
Yeah I’ve had the same problem all the others here are experiencing. I bought the Swashbuckler Ensemble and after 5 seconds of loading it said error occured and it withdrew the currency but gave me no transmog 
. I hope this gets resolved asap and we get what we pay for.

Exactly the same situation has happened to me. I bought the set and the hammer, haven’t received either of them but lost currency.
I understand that bugs can always happen, I don’t envy the devs. However, it’s embarrassing that they implemented one new feature and it’s so buggy that is has to be shut down hours after its launch.

Progress is deactivated for me at least, did the 5k gold AH one and got no progress.

Anyway can you finally fix the performance problems?
I managed to Complete to progress bar doing other things.
But the 30k in my mailbox that came from Auctions I sold today didn’t finish off that quest.

Try looting chest again it helped me. Also 100points is for completing the storyline so you might end up getting only 1000 in total if you didnt get your story done yet.
Are alts useful in getting currency?
No, it’s acc wide.

Potentially, but not necessarily. For example the “30 quests” goal might be faster on a lowbie alt that can quickly hoover up a bunch of super easy and quick quests. Something like using /love on dragons in older raids would also be quicker on certain characters. But since the goals are shared across the account there isn’t an inherent advantage to using alts.
