Pretty much one of the only reasons I play TBC (and WoW entirely), is for PvP.
A friend and I have decided to play 2’s and started a team earlier today.
Our end goal is to hit 2k, get shoulders then chill and fill the rest of the set.
We’re currently playing Enhance, Arms - is it a realistic goal to hit 2k with this comp?
Our first 10 games ended 8 wins, 2 losses - which of course ain’t too bad! However, reaching higher rating with better players and a more optimal comp… RM etc, is it possible?
I do realise this is a hard question to answer, but I’d like to gain some clarity before I sink 10’s of hours on actually trying to achieve it.
Are you out to improve as a PvPer with your friend, or get high raiting? One doesnt always include the other. Thats why many people rather give up improving, adapting and learning with their class/comp, to headroll their way up to somewhat better rating with classes/specs they have no passion about .
One always hits the wall tho - sooner or later, and the only tool to pass it will be mindset - not looking for greener grass. This applies to many things, not just WoW =)
probably it was a god tier comp at season start because only a few percentages of the player base had enough resilence to survive the opener. even a bad rogue/mage was able to take down so many teams because rogues are so powerfull against low geared players.
Good players can make almost any comp work, but it’s definitely difficult.
Your comp is not ideal and you have no room for mistakes, but I think the comp can also catch some people off guard, or people underestimating your burst. 2k Seems far fetched unless shaman goes Restoration instead. But sounds like a fun zugzug comp with a homie. Keep us updated how it turns out
Took the rogue/mage as an example because a) it is very powerful vs enha/warrior and b) it is one of the most common combos, making it counterintuitive to play a combo which by definition is meant to lose vs such combo. I mean sure you can accept that youll most likely lose to rogue/mage and win other combos, but the question is, can you even win other meta combo out there? Thats why I encouraged him to try it out, but as I said, it wont most likely be easy to climb with that combo.
Because enhancement/warrior would not stand a chance against this particular comb for thousands of reasons and that comb is the most mainstream you will face.
Sap > Blind > Sheep > Vanish into Garrote > Sheep(Plus mage counter spell somewhere in there) - Something like this, they have massive amounts of CC.
Sure, you can try to LoS the sheep… but on some maps it’s super hard(Especially the tombstone one)
You’re welcome, I would say why dont you casual up the level a bit as enh/arms and then spec to resto.
Resto shaman is actually a lot of fun and competitive, plus you have a lot to learn by trying getting the ideal position, using the correct shocks to help out your warrior, while he has to work to protect you as well at times- untill finally you assist him again with lightning bolts and chain lightning to rack the kill.
