Ive run countless dungeons and not gotten pieces too often. Ive hard to rely on two separate WQ to get items and i am still one point short for HC’s. Its to the point where i dont want to run dungeons right now as all i see is others getting pieces and i am just wasting my time.

i will not say that it is but i suspect that the more you spam less loot you get. I had pretty fast drops first plays but as i kept trying later its very obvious that you will not get more gear so easy until next day. So yh go for mythics, i always had one pice of gear for each 2 dungeons at least(had more but this is bare minimum), guess the logic here is because its locked per week the odds have to be high here.
I did 26 runs just to get my 2 weapons from heroic. Not counting the probably close to 100 runs done in total shared between heroics and M0. How many have you done?
Loot has been entirely slowed down, tbh my fix was jumping ahead of Heroic, i never did any of the dungeons on Heroic…
I got Crafted 151 gear and went into M+0s immediately. M+0s are pretty doable even at that ilevel and each drop are a much larger gain comparitively.
tbh though i will say, i remember the normal/heroic Dungeon Spam for every expansion to be pretty lame overall, i’ve never enjoyed having to pull myself through those Modes for gear.
i’ve gotten this hunter and a Shadow priest both to 180 so far XD
Yesterday on my mage i went from 144 to 167 in few hours. Buy blue BoEs from AH to be able to join RHC then spam it and you are done, it is really that easy.
Yeah, I’m just doing 2-3 dungeons a day and it’s slow going.
Slow going should be the name of this expansion though.
Have you ever heard of Honor gear?

Character progression feels meaningful because we have to work for our gear. I honestly think it is amazing the way it is now.
151 crafted gear is really useful for boosting your item level to get into heroics. WQ and mission table gear can help too. Alternatively, get some friends or guildies and just walk into heroics to get going right away. Or, if you have a full group, you can also jump straight to mythics.
I’m so confused by this thread. You can get to ilvl 171 day 1 by just spamming random BGs which are way more fun than boring normal dungeons with 0 difficulty and dumbed down mechanics.
The big upside is there is also no RNG involved. You get honor, you spend it on the pieces you need. You won’t get a helmet twice.
Uhm, correction, you have to get lucky.
Some get 2 drops per dungeon and some get 0. For some reason it seems that tanks usually get the least…
Anyways, BGs can work too. First win of the day grants you like 600 honor. Enough for one 158 item, which you can upgrade to 171.
Form a group and do mythic 0s. That’s the way to go (:
Probably buying gear from the AH is the best option now. Or make your own HC groups though dungeon finder.
There’s a full set of 151 gear on the auction house + plenty of ilvl 190 as well… + from PvP you can easily get some quick 171 gear.
Spam bgs, buy 158 gear, problem solved
PVP is actually super quick to get honor for some nice pieces (which you can upgrade).
win one epic bg and you can upgrade something directly to 171
Some parts’ drop rate is really low, especially trinkets. I get mostly armors and rings.
I think you should consider farming honor and buying gear with that, really didnt take me long to get 155 with honor pieces and normal dungeon pieces do the quest for torghast aswell where you get a 171 ilvl cape
