So, I’m sitting here, leveling my shadow priest when all of a sudden I get a queue pop for a dungeon. I accept. I hit some mobs and then all of a sudden I’m not in the dungeon anymore and I have a 30 min dungeon deserter debuff. k. guess the group was having fun and kicked me. whatever.
I wait, I queue again. Same thing happens again. At this point I’m not very happy. In fact I’m quite annoyed. Can someone please explain to me why this is allowed? Why am I being punished for being spam kicked and having to waste time? I dont’ understand how can such a broken system still exist in the game.

There are several topics like this every single week and the answer have been told again and again and again.
There is no better system.
Peeps here always try to come up with solutions and every single time, their ideas are worse than the current system.

Imagine not being able to kick at all. Wow. Problem solved. Someone is afk? Do the dungeon without them. Most of your group is afk cuz they’re trolling you? Leave. Insane. Problem solved.
See any of the other many, many threads on this.
Basically people are jerks but there isn’t a better system unfortunately that couldn’t be even more easily or severely abused.
Aaaaand you just proved what I said. Horrible ideas again and again and again…

The usual “i did nothing wrong and i’m getting kicked everytime” story. Meanwhile i leveled up every class through spamming dungeons and never had any issue like this. I wouldn’t be so sure that the issue is not with you unless the same people are doing it to you everytime which is almost impossible.
Okay, and what is your idea? Delete the kick system and let players afk /follow through whole dungeons with no punishment, or you want to wait hours there for a gm who then decides if someone is “guilty” or not?

The issue is not me. I was in the dungeon fro 3 minutes and got kicked. How can you even assume something so dumb?
Maybe an option to never get grouped with them again? (as a future feature) I dont see otherwise how to make it better

And yes, that thing you just suggested sounds pretty good to me. Why doe sanyone need to be punished for afking? It’s a low level dungeon. I wanna be in and out. Instead of having a stupid 30 debuff for no reason at all.
People can get a little trigger happy with kicking sometimes, deal with it.
Do some questing while the debuff wears off and quit making a mountain out of a molehill.

Your mentality says a lot about why you were kicked.

It can’t not be allowed. The question is why does the game encourage this type of degenerate behavior? I have a theory - leveling is just too fast right now, so fast that people can reasonably want to be 120 in a day. Leveling on its own is not a thing anymore, it’s akin to a loading screen in that it doesn’t engage you and you just want it to be over as soon as possible. It’s not an adventure.
And this is where it encourages degenerate gameplay - if you are let’s say 10% slower than the rest of the party, that means you’re slowing them down by 10%. Which means you increase their loading time to 120 by 10%, which is a lot.
The solution to this, unironically is to keep leveling slow, so people don’t expect to be max level RIGHT NOW. A game that goes fast encourages you to want everything right now, to go faster. A game that takes it slow does not, it is relaxed.
WoW in general has become too fast - from the buttons you have to press, the reaction times you need to have, to leveling.
On top of everything said above, people are leveling up alts for 8.3 and are racing against the weekly corruption rotation and here speed is everything. There’s so much wrong with BFA right now. When you have the community acting in a certain way rest assured it is only because the game and its mechanics encourage that behavior. Making that behavior not allowed won’t fix anything. The fix is always in changing game mechanics to encourage proper gameplay. BFA is awful at that.

How is that all these people keep getting kicked from dungeons, and I’ve only ever been kicked ONCE in 11 years, and it was because I was being extremely toxic.
There must be a REASON why you’re getting kicked, surely…

It’s not really a broken system, it would work fine if there wasn’t arses misusing it.
Had this happen to me years back, reported and even got in live chat and was told they will be actioned against pretty much.
Internet harbours all kind of nut jobs, just gonna have to get used to it and learn to shrug it off in general, unfortunately. Or play with a community of people.
have you checked the chat windows to see if someone mentioned something?
The best solution is having loot matter and remove the instant teleport to dungeon.
The problem is dungeon loot doesn’t matter, we are just grinding the XP bar. There is no incentive to complete the dungeon…
Back in the day, no matter how many times you wiped or how incompetent some group members were, you would pull through because the reward at the end, was always worth it.
Unfortunately it’s best to just deal with it. Sometimes people get kicked for the most stupid reasons, like once when I was doing Blackrock Depths with an alt we were going to all the wrong directions and a DPS was politely telling us where we’re supposed to go and then he/she was vote kicked under the reason “talks too much”.
Some kicks are justified, and some are a low-down unjustified move. Like I said: it’s best to just put up with it.
sound like classic is for you
