I realise this is a bit of long shot, but it’s worth a try.
I’d really love to have the Francois chicken pet, I think he looks amazing and I want to protect him with my life.
To obtain the pet you need to talk to the cute little bugger while having one million gold.
You only need to have the gold in your inventory and the money won’t disappear after you receive the pet.
Unfortunately I only have around 200k so I’m not even close to obtaining him. I was hoping someone might be able help. I came up with an idea of my own:
If other people would like to obtain this fabulous clucker too I was thinking maybe we could form a group and pile all our gold together and pass it around so we can all obtain the pet. I know it’s a bit risky to pass gold around but maybe we can find a way to verify we won’t be scammed.
I have a level 120 character on both Horde and Alliance, so faction boundaries are not an issue for me.
Suppose you could write a ticket and ask a GM if it’s possible to write a “contract” of sorts just by writing down in-game chat that you’d pool the money together, distribute it to each other for the pet, and then give every one their cut back as it was, and having everyone in the group write down that they agree.
Not sure if that works, but I believe this was sort of the case for when Master Loot was a thing and ninjaing items was a common occurence, if nothing was said about loot rules then there’d be no repercussions.
Write a ticket and check with a GM first tho, then you’ll know whether or not there’s any way to “punish” a “thief”.
As far as I know, GMs won’t really punish those tradings, the moment you press ‘Accept Trade’, you’ll agree to giving the money away.
It’s best to be done among friends who you can trust, since even if you do get someone from this thread to help you out and who turns out to scam people, you won’t be able to call them out on it due to forum’s naming and shaming rule.
And I’ve a suspicion that naming and shaming won’t do much to scammers anyway, they live off it and the attention it gives.
OP if I’d still had a mill I’d let you borrow it to get Francois
