Ghost Wolf could really use racial flavour

I suggest to turn the ability into “Spirit Animal” and have it turn you into a ghost animal that fits your race. Basically animals that every race hunters start with as companions. Wolves are cool and all, but they just don’t fit any other shaman than orcs (We could still have ghost wolf glyph for those who don’t want to change or for nostalgia reasons).

Some animal suggestions:
Trolls - Raptor (same as a current glyph)
Tauren - Plainstride (I think Kodos are a bit too big for this, though Kodo could work too)
HM Tauren - Moose (Could just use Spirit of Echeroo model, it’s awesome)
Zandalari - Ghost version of Zandalari Druid travel form
Dwarf - Bear (could either use ghost version of new bear models, or just use Arcturis model, because it’s awesome. I was also considering Gryphon, but I think they would better fit Wildhammer if we ever get them as AR)
Dreanei - Talbuk (or alternatively a ghost moth, though I think Talbuks are awesome)
Kul Tiran - Hawk (hunter starting pet) or Seagull/Albatros
Pandaren - EIther their hunter which is a pandaria tiger OR have Alliance Pandaren turn into Xuen-like spirit tiger and Horde Pandaren into Chi-Ji like crane (reddish form insted of blueish)
Dark Iron Dwarf - their starting hunter pet and have it be red transaprent isntead of blue to fit more into their Fire flavour.
Goblin - Could just use a ghost crab, but I think that it would be so much cooler (and in line with their vision of shamanism, which isn’t a traditional one) to have it turn you into random ghost animal other races use (so every time you go Ghost Wolf (Animal Spirit) it turns you into random animal listed above.

Most of these models are already in game, so it shouldn’t be much work for Blizzard to implement this.

As a bonus, I think it would be cool, if Shamans got series of small quest chains, that would allow them to use different animal for their Ghost Wolf (now Spirit Animal). Hunters get their small challenges in form of new rare pet tames, so why not?

What you guys think?

Blizz forgot glyphs exists, they could spend 2 seconds on forums and then release 546684168371732413571 glyphs to upgrade absolutely every spell in the game …

Starting with trash like that stupid chainlightningbolt noone ever asked for, all the way to abilities based on races …

Only thing keeping me from maining my pandaren shaman is ghost wolf form. Why not a tiger form? It drives me insane :frowning:

MORE GLYPHS FOR US PLEASE BLIZZARD!!

Thinking about it, didn’t Draenei learn shamanism from orcs, so it makes sense for them to use a wolf spirit?

They don’t have a strong connection with wolves like the orcs

I am using the raptor glyph atm, but not really liking those glowing ones.

Hope there’ll be racial updates for sure, since Druids get all the sh**, and we still have this old wolf.

I feel the same about Kul Tiras. Tidesages as resto shaman sound cool, but then turning into a wolf ruins everything…

I guess rams could work too, though bears feel more “shamanic”, with rams being kept by people as domesticated animals. I wouldn’t complain if we got either, really

I second this! It’s nothing gamebreaking, so throw us a bone will ya?

Give. Me. Ghost. Bear.

Or I’ll settle for a goat.

There are far more important matters regarding shaman that need attention.

They can start with the promised enhancement shaman changes

This is such simple small change that could be added weekly alongside proper changes, now go away …

You honestly think they will bother with this? They can’t even be arsed finishing off allied races to a decent standard.

You honestly think they will bother with enhancement rework?

No probably not but it’s a more worthy ask

A Rat for Goblins! I’d love that so much.
