Ghostlands Scaling

At level 35 in Level 30 areas you simply one shot everything. From a single fire blast as a mage you start to do close on 40 000 damage. One second you are on a two three spell rotation and next you are in Dire Maul dungeons one shotting even the bosses. I normally level characters in Ghostlands to 35 cus there are such a lot of easy quests in this area and its really fast. Thing is in Ghostlands when you reach 35 you only do between 3500 and 4500 from a fire blast, no matter what you target. Yet the next thing I did was the tamer in Winterspring and hitting a yeti I did 37974 damage. Why is Ghostlands scaled so low damage dealt. I know its TBC but even TBC is grey at 30. Seems they got their maths wrong by a zero.

Did you activate Chromie Time? That will scale Ghostlands to your level.

Use chromie time. Not sure if it’s TBC or Cataclysm but it’s one of them for the Ghostlands. I believe it’s TBC but not sure.

Anyway just beware once you get to level 50 and above, the mobs might start to nuke you. Lmao.

I never use Chromie time. What I was intrigued about is why are the mobs in Ghostlands are only suffering 3500-4500 damage when mobs everywhere else in level 30 zones at my level 35 take 35000-45000 damage including TBC. Seems like an error. I appreciate that Cata is level 35 but the map without Chromie has Cata areas at 35 and Ghostlands as level 30. So the mobs should take the same hits as 30 zones. Its scaled wrong.

At level 50 I am doing solo dungeons on mythic and raids in WoD and one shotting everything. That is the joy of never using Chromie. I have no interest in fast levelling so XP matters not in truth. I can get XP using Battle Pets and Archaeology which are not scaled to maps. So I go where the fun takes me.

Yeah, Ghostlands should still be scaled like the revamped vanilla-zones, on par with Silverpine Forest, Loch Modan, Westfall, Darkshore and Northern Barrens as the second leveling zone tier from back when the zones actually had fixed levels.

Do the same scaling behaviour occur in Bloodmyst Isle?

Not surprising at all that scaling is all screwed. But how is Ghostlands fast at level 30, when you can fly elsewhere but not here?

It’s not scaling per se, but the legacy buff, which might actually be different for different zones. You can report it as a bug but as it is nothing game breaking I wouldn’t expect a quick fix.

ghostlands is lvl 10-20 zone if you go by tbc standards
