G'Huun, the unretconned fifth Old God?

So it seems that ingame a character literally refers to G'huun as an old god. He is the last boss of the first raid of BfA I believe, likely the thing that Looked like Duriel from Diablo 2 (Big grub) that we saw at Blizzcon. So is it that Blizzard has decided to put a fifth old god back into the game, as it was retconned out in WoW, having been in the Warcraft 3 game manual previously.

My feeling is that this is some kind of artificial old god created by the Titan constructs who were experimenting. That would allow it to not count as one of the four Original old gods, but still be an Old god in the sense of what they actually are. Thereby not retconning what we know from Chronicle.

I imagine, considering it's a younger old god. It may very well be a lot smaller and infact not burrowed deep within the earth, since it was created in it's prison. If that's the case then we could possibly kill this one for good. We'll have to see.

I just wanted to be the first person to make a post on this. Discussion in the comments!
The Model of Gun reminds me about a Silithid / Air broodmother. I think it's likely he's some kind of offspring from the Old Gods, a void creature (faceless ones are also the same thing), but not an Old God himself.

It could get very interesting. Especial with parasites etc.
Isn't he a loa blood god? That's how I understood it. I would love some sources if you can link them here.
Muffinus said in an interview that he's far worse than an Old God.

It's not only like is your feeling indeed. From the leaks we had in the previous months it was stated it was an experiment from the titans with old god blood. Also (and I don't know if I read this or it's just confusing headcannon from my disturbed mind)it looks like he has some kind of relation with Hakkar.

G'huun was accidentally created by the Titans when they experimented means to solve the problem posed by the Old Gods. He was locked away in the facility of Uldir with three seals, though over time, only one would remain.[2]

G'uuhn is not a real Loa, but he is worshipped as a Loa by the Blood Trolls. He fools them and even corrupts real Loa, to serve him.
Perhaps this happened als to Hakkar (no other windserpant is like Hakkar, but they look like him).
Old Gods are made by the Voidlords to invade Azeroth.

G'huun is made by the Pantheon to learn a way to destroy old gods.

He's like imitation cheese. Should be cheese but in the end he is not.
Valid post, good reasoning, answer to the point.

A necromancer wannabe notwithstanding.
Like some previous poster mentioned, G'huun is not one of the original Old Gods. Rather, he was the outcome of some experiment the Titans made in Uldir.
Wowpedia says that he is an old god, so he is an old god for me. Not the original one, but still an old god.

"Q: G'huun has been called many things, including a Blood God and Old God. Can you talk a little more about his storyline? Is it related to Hakkar?
A: He is unrelated to Hakkar. G'huun is an aberration, Old God type creature that exists in this Titan containment facility. They used this facility to try to figure out what makes Old Gods tick, including performing experiments. This led to some creepy and weird stuff there. They don't want to spoil exactly what G'huun is here but he is the result of years of experiments where they couldn't figure out how to cure this Old God disease."

Old God type creature. It means he is like an old God not he is an old god. Aberration mean that it's different from the usual kind.

A good example for this are the faceless ones.

"They are formed from the very energies and fleshy masses of the Old gods."

They are too created from the old gods but are none.

Edit:
Furthermore, just because a Npc says in not very fluent english:"Old God G'huun.." does not have to mean that he is an old god but can also mean that he is a god that is old.
