Gift of N'zoth implications

So… i recently started noticing “Shady individual” NPCs scattered around Boralus, they seem shady and suspicious indeed and i started wondering why i never noticed them before, but then i realized that was because they were added along the Xal’Atath questline and, if you chose to keep the Gift of N’zoth, they have the eyeball on their head aswell.
They offer no dialogue options whatsoever and all seemed part of the secret-sociaty-gimmick. Until i found out that, only at nighttime, some of these NPCs along with some "Menacing Bruiser"s gather into a nook at the end of Mariner’s Row, and one of them actually has a dialogue window, the only one so far, which sadly is a simple “Go away if you know what’s good for you…” even if you have the gift on your character.
There’s also a basement door in that same nook wich seems to be locked.
Maybe it is all part of a future quest series or maybe this is actually a gimmick and nothing more, but i tought it was worth of attention at least.
If you find anymore oddities around we should share information, maybe there’s more here than meets the eye…

As long as i get the possibility to aid N’Zoth or him aiding us i dont mind anything. Im tired of always fighting old gods. “uhh look an old god. He MUST be evil. No other possibilities. No deeper character. Lets kill him”.

I mean we have to save Azeroth dont we. And N’Zoth is one of the beings thats been rooted to her since ages. He might be easily capable of aiding us. And in return we help him against the void lords considering Azeroth is capable of wiping the floor with them. Who said that all beings of Void are eternally and unbreakable loyal to their overlords?

I really do hope keeping the gift instead of “cleansing” it starts at least some thing.

Doubt N’Zoth will be the big bad guy. There supposed to be a twist to the story so who know, maybe the Light and Calia will become the villains

These Shady Individuals were already there at the start of the expansion. As well as the bruiser with that small dialouge.

But who knows, maybe they’re a part of a future story with N’Zoth? Considering that they have the eyeball.
I haven’t been on my Alliance toon in a long, long time, so I haven’t checked out if the NPC’s have the eye on them. Pretty cool though!

It’s fine we will need N’zoths aid in the times too come. Ofcourse it’s just to get rid of some of his competition but… At least we get to side with the “for the moment” lesser evil.

The player will become a raid boss. haha

If it will be a healer good luck taking him down  He will just constantly self-heal…

I want this to happen I always was the one who suicided ASAP after Souls so I could become Gul’dan and cleave especially the gnomes, raid leader and guild leader down. I didn’t care I lost augment rune buffs or anything it was bloody worth it.

im with you, i dont think Nzoth will be the big bad boy and evidance of that is that he doesnt seem to wanna kill us like the other old gods was planing, he wanna show us their/his side of the coin and probably will the light and the titans true face come forth and that is probably the big shocker. The titans have in general some serious things to explain of what they have done in the past and what they actually plan to do with us and azeroth.

From what i have gathered, Nzoth is a tactician and not a crazy kill everything and let me rule-guy. i dont think he is the same as the other old gods we have seen. (even tho every old god has their own niche)

For me every old god was/is into organic living creatures while titans are for non-organic, ordered life forms. Old Gods have factions and faction was as unordered organic life has in nature while ordered titan constructs don’t have wars and faction intrest but do share common hostility to non-ordered and even have tools to wipe us if they deem unworthy… If such plot point would be explored (like Illidan-Xera interaction) it may turn out that “ordered” entities representing some forces of the universe treat us as pawns (light, arcane, death?, others?) and at some point they will want to discard us (again).

While I thought Nzoth wouldn’t have been the final boss too, in the recent T&E video…

SPOILER

They seem to point out he will :frowning:

Generally beings who want to enslave/murder entire races are evil.

Maybe N’zoth only wants to enslave us all so he can use us to fight the light because it turns out the light is bad.

I swear to god if that’s the twist imma be mad.

Spoiler:

Summary

Nzoth might be set free from the prison, but we dont know what happens then. correct me if i am wrong tho but that was how i understood it.

Alliance and Horde both did that already. Your point?

We have already seen that the light isnt “good” and can also happen to be your enemy as proven with Illidan who flat out oneshot a naaru which intended to execute “the lights will”

yeah there are loads of hints about the light and the dark side of it. Like the Mag’har allied race quests when you unlock them.

You may be right but

SPOILER

Ion stated that, by the end of that raid, we will know for sure who will be the final boss of the expansion. Going with this, Taliesin reasonably concluded that that boss will probably be Nzoth, a belief which I share based on what we know now. Though I do hope it won’t be the most obvious thing, not that it’s bad of course, but I’d really love some plot twist or whatever!

Maybe just as a temporary ally, but he certainly wont be a good guy. If i remember correctly n’zoth is the weakest old god. With old gods loving to war among eachother as well, he certainly would benefit from other old gods not being freed. Old gods dont mind turning on eachother just look what happened to xal’atath

Yeah thats true about what ion said.

i also hope it wont be that obvious in the end who it will be

The Xatalalala whatever intro quest was the worst I’ve seen in a long time. “Hi, I’m clearly a demonic blade, I want blood and souls and you are SO SPESHUL we’ll do GREAT THINGS TOGETHER HAHAHA SUCKER now you’re a brainless servant of a F****ING OLD GOD.”

This was basically Zenn Foulhoof reloaded, only back then I was a level 3 noob, and now I’m supposed to be an experienced hero, champion, world savior etc etc but apparently my character follows every and any random sh*tquest without even considerig asking Jaina or Mathias Shaw what they think about this. And when I turn in this idiocy, all I get is “Oh well, sucks to be you, and all these eyes you see are just your imagination lolol”.
