It’s nice that we can get higher ilvl gear from delves, but it’s not enough. The amount of Gilded Crests we get from tier 11 delves is really low. Each tier 11 delve should reward 7 crests, up to the cap — not just 3 runs giving 7 crests each and 10 from the weekly bounty. That’s simply not enough and doesn’t motivate players to run delves on alts after missing a few weeks.
It’s a crafted 675 exactly on pace with spark acquisiton. Not like raids offer catch up either. We’re all beholden to Mythic+.
Hey, you might get 10 crests, but only if you roll a 1 in a million!
It’s practically a miracle if you ever get the 10 crests. like a once in a lifetime kind of thing
Just do mythic you need to do what +7 or something. It’s pretty casual and you get capped soon.
I’m stuck because I am capped on crests.
No. We can’t make delves mandatory for the cry hard M+ players /sarcasm
You get 10 crests if you open the trove on an 11. Opening it on an 8 will reward 4.
You may be sarcastic but this did already happen. Trinkets received tuning because some hero track trinkets outclassed mythic track trinkets for some classes, making them bis (which is also mainly due to trinkets across the board this tier being borderline trash).
Here’s the thing though: If you can get the gear you should get the upgrades, too.
There’s a cap on crests, you should be able to reach that cap wether you want to waste your time in delves or m+ dungeons. You should not be able to exceed the cap by doing both (or the “better”).
But no, we certainly can’t allow the peasant delvers to upgrade their 1 piece of gear at the same speed as those amazingly awesome m+ players’ 12 pieces of gear.
Regarding Crests from M+ doing 8x +10 gets more than enough to hit the cap.
For Delve players it would take 13 Delves to hit the weekly cap, even the biggest Delve legend here may get burned out doing that many.
Don’t they have to be Bountiful? That means playing 4-5 days per week per character.
Delvers have their rewards aimed at delve rewards. At least thats Blizzards PoV. Delvers don’t have access to mythic track but Hero only through the vault+weekly map. So thats 30-60 usable gilded crests on the hero track items if you don’t get dublicates. Runed crests don’t have a delve cap as far as I remember. That is their philosophy. M+ and Raiders also run out of crests to upgrade their gear with.
Their, very likely intended, delve catchup should be the horrific visions that we get in like 2-3 weeks given they also reward gilded crests. Especially if we consider crafted pieces (which are also used to save crests in 658 slots).
Non bountiful is fine. Bountiful is just required for the champion piece+some other stuff.
I thought it was RNG for some reason…alright alright, that makes more sense. But it has to be a delvers bounty 11 right?
I like the idea of them increasing the cap on the amount you can get weekly.
The first 3 Bountiful 11s you do each week award 7 gilded crests, you do not need to use a key.
When you use a map for a delve, there will be a box at the end which contains crests based on the level of delve. An 11 will award 10 crests, you do not need a key for this either and the devle does not have to be bountiful.
You can obtain a map randomly from delves, or there is a 100% chance from the underpin when he spawns inside your delve. To spawn him you can use a wave scrambler which you can buy from the delve vendor for 2000 undercoin. This can be done once a week.
3x Bountiful 11s, using a map in one of them, yields 31 gilded crests in 3 delves.
Considering the absurd level of difficulty you’re dealing with like 3 lives & everything one shots & underpin adds that are an actual nightmare…the payout doesn’t match the input. the reward has to be worth it. I say make it more.
People have been doing T11s since week 1 with gear they had from last patch, and since then they’ve been nerfed multiple times.
It is substantially easier to get gilded crests from delves than any other form of content.
I’ve seen a lot of disparity in opinions regarding how easy or difficult Delves are. Just to make sure, does everyone have a sufficiently levelled Brann (70+), 4/4 quality Curios equipped and making pulls of 2-3 enemies at most, not half of each room, every time?
Because my (smug) experience is that Tier8 Delves in Season 1 were objectively harder (and not just by a little amount) than what Tier11 Delves are now in Season 2.
I don’t think I had any curios week 1. I just did what I had to to unlock 11s / underpin and wasn’t really putting any thought into it. Brann was in the 40s, heal spec.
They definitely feel like they got nerfed into oblivion. I tried t11 at the end of s1 to get the achievement for all t11 with lives remaining and gave up.
They took ages and sometimes I died on bosses due to not enough interrupts. Then at the start of s2 t11 was much easier, in the same gear. I was ilevel 623 Brann at 60.
Season 1 was definitely more harder cos now I’m doing 11’s with more ease and don’t really think how many lives I got on tier 11. My brann is 67 I think and use him as a healer on this character.
I do think the amount of gilded delves reward is more than enough, it’s easy content. It’s not supposed to be on part in terms of rewards to mythic raiding and higher m+ content. I mean if you got good rng, you can get hero gear in every slot and upgraded to 658. That’s pretty high from just casual content.
To return to the topic at hand, I agree there should be a catch-up. As in, allow characters to collect 7 gilded crests per Tier11 delve until they reach the maximum amount of the season for Delves. For example, we are currently on Week 5 of the season, which translates to up to 21 x 5 = maximum 105 gilded crests from Delves (the map is a different thing) or 15 gilded crest chests. So someone who starts today would need to run 15 delves at Tier11 difficulty to catch up to the rest of us.
