Nothing changed, all the issues that blizzard tried preventing with GDKP ban still exist and thrive.
Give the people who enjoyed gdkps the possibility to play high quality pugs.

There is way less of a incentive for people to buy gold, there is no more endless spam in every single chat channel about a GDKP, there are less people who buy all their gear with real money.
I would say that the GDKP ban have worked out well.

Can you proof that? Except the very few who REALLY raided with naked characters and for mysterious reasons had tons of gold to buy everything, normal participants like me never had the need for buying gold. Especially when you get gold out of raiding anyway?
why do you care what people spam in chat channels? what kind of argument is that? like HARD RES HARD RES is any better lol. also theres way less pugs than there would be with gdkps in.
Nothing changed. People still buy gold? If blizzard wanted to tackle this issue, they need to bring the token. nothing else will help
one can only hope that they wont make this mistake in upcoming projects, because i think it is terrible for the game

If you cant spend gold on buying every single piece of gear you want then there is less of a incentive to buy gold, there are few BOE items that are worth it compared to items from raids. A few people might buy gold for those and they buy the gold once to get those items they wont buy gold again when the next raid comes out to buy more raid items, they might buy gold to buy a mount and thats once again just a one time thing not a continuing issue.
I dont care much about HR runs ether but they do spam less than the GDKP runs did as they have intensive for one run per reset as most people just try to HR things for their mains.
The token changes nothing when it comes to people buying gold it actually makes it worse. And things did change I didnt say that it stopped people from buying gold I said it stopped people from buying gear.
Its good for the game to stand without real life incoming making much of a difference in how people gear up.
Prove it, less characters than in P1 I do totally believe in but prove that it have anything to do with the ban of GDKP and not with people not having time or the want to level all their alts to max level every phase, the amount of bots would logically with less characters be lower as their marked should have been shrinking if people stopped playing.
without gdkps the PUG scene took a heavy blow. you cant really deny that. P4 is out for 4 weeks already and you still cant find tanks sometimes. it sucks
Not necessarily. An issue with gdkp is how it takes hoarded gold from one player, that essentially get used too pay the consumes of all the other raid members the next couple resets.
It drives up prices massively, which isn’t a problem for the ones running GDKPs since they partake in the shared gold.
But everyone else now has their sources of raw gold being worth less, so they gotta start grinding the AH instead of just doing the eruption dailies for their consumes.
At this point, I’d rather see it play out until the end of SoD so we can compare it closer too the end of era.

You are comparing P1 when if you took it slow and easy and played like 2-3 hours per day (over a weeks time so not needing to play each day but more some days when you have more time) you could easily hit max level in a week, to P4 where playing for that amount each day while also taking it easy and doing things not optimally would not get you from 50-60 in a week. So way less people playing alts. You also compare when SoD was new and trendy to 8 months later when SoD is not new and trendy so less of the people that jump between game modes when ever a new one comes out.
And as a last point tanks have always been the least popular thing to play in wow, adding more classes that can tank have never really been a way to get more people to play tanks people just dont play tanks so it have always been harder to find a tank than anything else.
I don’t know about that, it seemed quite efficient at getting rid of GDKPs, which was the entire point of banning GDKPs.

People who want to buy gear for real money still can buy it on RMT sites. ALso there are still a lot of bis FR gear just buyable for gold on AH. Meanwhile, banning GDKPs killed all high-quality pugs, because nobody wants to spend gold for FR gear/consumables/etc and get nothing for it. Literally no single Heat 3 MC pug on living flame alliance.

People who are willing to straight up buy gear are such a small minority that its laughable, people who were willing to buy gold to buy gear were more.
Im sure that T1 is better than all of the non tier FR pieces for the majority of classes (and it dose have FR on it and with just a few enchants you will be above what you need for H2)
Oh no the heat level that is not at all made for pugs is not being puged… Cry me a river, heat 2 and 3 have 3 differences the likelihood for some of the better pieces, the cosmetic weapons and then finally the extra boss, for a pug there is no real reason to go into heat 3 seeing as its more of a gamble.
For me clearing max lvl difficulty isn’t about loot, it’s about a fact that i can clear max lvl difficulty, i like when i can clear hardest content in the game. But people just don’t want to do it, so if i dont have a guild i can’t clear it even if i want to and even if i am prepared for it. Just because nobody of pugs want to do it. Meanwhile GDKPs in other classic versions can clear hardest content in first weeks. Other pugs can’t

Good for you thats how it should be when it comes to the highest difficulty of a game.
Most people do play wow for loot so you are right about that.
Why dont you want to join a guild? A guild is there as a stable group to make it so you can clear the content with.
Pugs are there just so people can get loot out of the raids, pugs are on a whole less enjoyable than running with a stable group as its everyone for them selves.
Other pugs have done it as well, if you dont want to join a guild find a stable pug (so basicly a guild except no access to green chat) and you will see that there are pugs that can and do clear H3
But still GDKP Pugs in other classic versions can compete with good guildes by progress and speed, so it’s just about your motivation and it’s better in GDKP Pugs then in MS>OS. And its Pug, yes, it has some requirements (such as good logs maybe), but as a completely new person you CAN join this pug, if you meet its requirements (yes maybe about 50% of raiders in it are same people, but, as a new person you CAN join it if you meet requirements, either gold or gear/logs, and as well can go to other pug on next cd if u want). Its the definition of pugs for me, i dont want to join guild because i dont want to raid always in the same time, i want to raid when i want and be able to skip the raid on next cd if i want also. I dont want to have any obligations in game to visit raid in exact same time each week, and i can managed my resources (gold) how i want, not how guildmaster or random decide but how i want. I have never bought or sold gold
But if you search on living flame discord, you will find 0 pugs that able to clear heat 3 (at least as alliance), and about 50-70% guildes in guildes channel are able to. Meanwhile in WOTLK Classic i cleared full HM Ulduar with alg and Yogg+0 with GDKP pugs when only about 20% of guildes cleared it (according to warcraftlogs statistics). And i repeat, I have never bought or sold gold.

No less population drives the prices up because its easier to control. Another funny thing, you are complaining prices go up but if you would play the game, NONE of it would matter because you would still make gold but since you dont play or you are just lazy, you just come with excuses for you lazyness.
