Quite crazy that we haven’t heard a word from Blizzard in 4-5 days now.
Sucks to be us. Then again, when we are finally in, we are having the best time in WoW, since a long time ago.
Are people completely unable to read? and by people im talking about those people who are saying he should just reroll to a empty server.(u gotta be trolling)
He and many others have picked a specific server to play with old friends / guild mates.
Also many players dont want to reroll on a new server because htey have already invested a lot of time on their characters.
Opposing this really is crazy especially because this would be in the interests of the whole of Classic. People on smaller realms should want more people, and people on huge realms should want a few less to ease the queues and enable layering to be turned off. Instead there is this weird contingent of players who apparently enjoy the extremely unbalanced player distribution.
It is even in Blizzards interests because time is running out. These queues won’t last forever in this form and once they are gone the incentive to transfer goes with them.

They said it would happen a few weeks before launch whilst launching with 4 servers and its not their fault.

You’re paying for retail, you can access that any time without issue. Classic is a free include.
I’m just so confused about why Blizzard isn’t going through overdrive to sort this out as soon as possible and not being open on why they’re not. It’s not like they gain anything through making us suffer these queues. Especially if it’s really true that they did do free transfers in the past like Nisa said. I understand that they want to save on server costs in the long term once enough people quit. And they surely will, but at this rate it seems like it will mostly be not because of fading hype but solely from being fed up with the queues. And that is such a Thanos type of solution by actively cutting off their own fanbase just because it doesn’t fit in the servers, that it’s truly appalling. They should be doing whatever they can to preserve this overflowing goldmine of new and returning subscribers by constantly throwing new servers and free transfers to accommodate and preserve as much of the community as they can. And even if all the servers eventually do die down to a half or third of their capacity, it’s not like they’re gonna end up barren. Once it happens and the layering gets taken off, they will still feel just as crowded if not more.

Anyone on this entire post who thinks just because we are asking for free transfers we won’t get them because of the word “free”.
90% of them don’t know that free transfers have existed in the past to avoid the exact issues we are facing in current classic.
Anyone who disagrees is just ignorant.
Blizzard have underestimated and some people are paying/paid for a game they can’t play, Blizzard are the ones responsible to fix that, for free because it’s their fault.
It’s just that simple.

i picked a realm that was released the same day as the game. i took vacation first week of release, i’m now level 52. and when i come home from work around 16:00 theres a 3-4 hour queue. which means i can play 1-2 hours before going back to bed. ALSO allll of my friends are on this realm and around the same level.
do we all just throw away our chars and reroll to a new realm, when we actually LISTENED to blizzard and chose a low pop new realm hours before release.
they need to add 10 new realms and allow payed character transfers (these were a thing in classic, if you wanna bring up that argument card. )

Want free transfers? Transfer yourselves from Classic then. Totally free of charge. Plus you will save 13euros a month. Oh wait. You actually pay for Retail and get Classic wow as an free exclusion to that.
I feel like most people are blind to the long term consequences of this. It isn’t queues forever, because that never happens in MMOs. Instead it is a handful of very populated servers that make turning layering off difficult and the rest being small, as in actually small.
It would be in everyone’s interests to enable transfers. It would especially be in the interests of the players on those small servers. It is also in Blizzards interests to act while the crazy queues are still around. Because those queues are the only incentive that players on high pop servers have to transfer to low pop ones. Once they are gone the opportunity to balance the servers is never coming back.
Shame on you. They just announced free realm migrations. They listened to us. Drown in your shame.

You just made my day. Thank you! You’ve just been made a fool. It was only a matter of days/weeks that they implemented the realm transfer. But that only after they released more & more realms. Shame on you. They would have announced it whether you had asked or not. They didn’t listen to you. And drown -yourself- in shame. Pathetic.
You said they wouldn’t do it ever, earlier on. And called us crying, whiny babies for requesting such a thing because it was ridiculous in your eyes and it wouldn’t fix the issue.
You just made a fool out of yourself. You contradicted yourself, and wether they listened to me, or anyone else wanting character transfers, they still did it and proved your ignorant behaviour wrong.
On top of that, it reduced the queue times hard during peak hours, and it removed queues overall during the regular hours. So they fixed queues.
Not going to lower myself to your level and call you pathethic. I mean, any sane person reading your current and previous points can see that you’re not very sane and quite delusional.
