Agreed. I love it aswell but I think portals would be great. Altho, with us having 3 heartstones (normal, dalaran, garrison) now I guess its a trivial problem.
You at least have a capital!
The Night Elves have a handfull of ash and the Vulpera a parking spot… 
Portal to Dazar’Alor from Orgrimmar > Portal to Thunder Bluff.
If that’s not enough, roll mage and you have one.

I know Thunder Bluff as a calm, serene auctioning spot with constant engine idle sound.
I do wish they’d give access to the other faction capitals in Valdrakken as well. I don’t get why they always had to be removed.

Honestly I’d be asking Blizzard to give us an updated version of it. The 2005 paintjob makes me sad. Also I wouldn’t be caught dead around that city without a flying mount.
I know how to get back to Thunder Bluff.
The desire to put portals there like in Org/Daza is to encourage people to use the other cities.
What can I say, I would like it if Thunder Bluff was more active. I think having a portal room there would encourage that.

How is this helping in regards to departing Thunder Bluff?
Honestly its exhuasting doing noble garden and timewalking, so im constantly travelling between Bloodhoof village and timeless isles.
If they have a portal to pandaria would make things so much easier lmao
