With the recent talk about “playing a class, not a spec” during Shadowlands reveal at Blizzcon and also playing a bit of dual wield fury warrior in Classic for the first time, I must say that it’s really sad that Titan’s Grip is a mandatory ability for Fury spec.
Warriors are suposed to be masters of weapons, so why are we forced into two handed weapons when playing as a Fury? If it’s a matter of balance, why not just allow us to transmog our two handed weapons into one handed weapons?
I really like dual wielding one handed weapons, because they are generally smaller and thus it makes sense to me, that you are able to swing them around, doing smaller chunks of damage, but at a faster rate. As petty as it might sound, I also prefer having the weapons sheathed on the hips rather than having them on my back. Some swords are so big that they just flat out stick out to the sides and it doesn’t look good at all.
I understand that some people like to dual wield two handers, so why not give us an option to choose which one we prefer, even if it’s just cosmetic?
Obviously, it would be better to have an option, that is not only cosmetic, but mechanical as well, giving players a choice. WoW is supposed to be an RPG, so why are we all being funnelled to the same playstyle?
Another thing regarding the transmog is that Protection is the only spec using one handed weapons, so half the weapon appearances that you can unlock as a Warrior are flat out useless if you’re playing mostly DPS.
Please, either let us transmog two handed weapons into one handed or make Fury abilities work with one handed weapons again. Make each approach have advantages and disadvantages and let us make the choice.
