Back to this, as I said natural hair colors shouldn’t be a prob at all. I think the reason why Blizzard didn’t add natural hair colors to void elves yet is because they are gonna create unique hair colors for void elves and not just copy them from blood elves.
I hope they create new stuff for Void Elves and not copy and paste Blood Elf things, even though i appreciate the skin colors i with they were new and unique assets, not copies.
I’m pretty sure they did it that way because they didn’t intended to add anything at start to Void Elves (and any other Allied Race) in the first wave of customization, but changed ideas due to feedback (specially regarding the datamined blue eyes to the Blood Elves which caused a lot of unrest) and just slapped those skin tones because it was easier and faster to implement than making new textures, if you remember it took quite a while for them to fix the Blood Elf underwear on them lol
I really enjoy reading these customization ideas about every and each race, although few days ago i read very hateful comments from an Nightborne about how everyday there is an thread about void elfs or stuff in terms of Customization, he was indeed very salty but he made a very good points, I think that Void elfs compared to nightborne are in really decent shape hell even look at goblins, they are so meh compared to how big of a potential they have, as much as i would love there to be many more customizations for every race lets be grateful that there are some races that are in far worse conditions, beside that, I like your ideas best of luck!.
Cheers
Honestly I do hope one day Blizz will add new options. I still want my regal Highborne or at least golden jewelry options for Night elves
I’m as entitled to give my opinion as you are. It’s my opinion that void elves should receive options that keep with their theme, not copy other race. We both give our opinions and Blizzard decides
I can put on my list that for Blonde they could consider two dark blue highlights on the blonde to mimic the wings of the Starcursed voiseeker I think that will be quite unique as there aren’t many hair colours out there with nice shiny highlights, it will also create a nice antithesis
From what we heard from interviews and posts, they focused on Core Races in the first wave of customization and will move into Allied Race customization in the future.
I kinda feel Blizzard will put more effort into Nightborne, both because they’re very lacking in the first place and there’s a lot of feedback on them, also because they’re a Horde race, Blizzard likes the Horde more.
Nightborne models will be 100% revamped that’s why they got 0 options so far as opposed to other allied races
I believe Blizzard should give more value to feedback from the people who actively play the race, and in general, give more value to suggestions and requests rather than contrarianism against such suggestions, because the first type of feedback usually comes from a place of interest, people who just play something and want to talk on things they want to the race they like, as for the second type of feedback, very often it comes from a place of spite and envy, there was a very clear example of this in one of the recent threads about this topic.
Apologies if i was a bit rude on the first comment, it’s just that i am, to be honest, tired of seeing people being so combative against customization options for Void Elves, i think no other race receives more hate and feedback against them.
Also, from my experience playing on a very populated Alliance dominated realm on the US (Sargeras), at least 90% of the Void Elves i see in the game use the Blood Elf skin tones, i rarely see a Void Elf with a Void Elf skin tone, which is something that makes me happy in one way showing how popular High Elves are and how much successful they would have been if Blizzard released them as an Allied Race instead of Void Elves, but saddens in the other because i love the way Void Elves look, i have 4 Void Elf characters which i didn’t change their Voidy look, even with limited options.
I feel like most Void Elf players just rather look like High Elves and Blood Elves while playing on the Alliance, may Blizzard with all the statistics they have invest on what is seemingly more successful.
I play every race in the game. Admittedly, some more than others. I currently only have 2 low level void elves, because my account is full and I wanted to turn my VE warlock into a shadow priest.
For me, asking for high elf options for the void elves is a waste of Blizzard resources. I want void elves to have more options, but options that fit the fantasy of the race. If I want to play a blonde elf I have blood elves. Why do more of the same for another race when we can have variety and uniqueness? It’s just a waste and dilutes the identity of both races.
It’s cool
Let me give you some of my background. I started playing this game 13 years ago, in early TBC, when I was 15. My eldest brother had bought me the game, and I instantly fell in love with it. Once he set it up, the very first thing he did was create a Blood elf paladin. Once I saw what he had made, my eyes widened in awe and astonishment! You see, he had got himself Vanilla and TBC, but had only got me Vanilla. I would have made a Blood elf paladin just like him, but alas I could not, and so I proceeded with the next option. A human warrior. And let me tell you, once you fall in love with the Alliance’s beautiful environment and start experiencing one of the factions, you do not simply switch straight away to a new character, and especially not the opposing faction. No, by the time I purchased TBC, I was well hooked into the Alliance and it became my main faction of play.
My conclusion: Contrary to Ion’s very shallow statement in his interview a few years ago that if we want to play a fair elf we should switch to Horde, I answer this: One does not simply switch the faction that he loves just to play a blonde elf. It means that for ever more, we would need to completely forget about playing a Blonde elf. Isn’t that really sad? Monopoly on just a hair colour? This topic did not matter to me at all, until now. It did not even matter to me on the release of Void elves. But it clang with a loud noise and hurt a lot when the skins came out and I failed to see any new, light hair colours along with them. That the new skins would now have non-fitting hair to accompany them. I finally realized that unless some light hair colours were added to our Void elves, the light skin look would never be complete. It’s a very bad tease to not be given light hair colours to match our light skin tones.
At the end of the day, we also need to think of the thousands of High elf fans who have been specifically asking for High elves for 14 years. We got Void options because we are Void elves, yes, but let us not forget that it was High elves we were asking for. To simply give us more void options and no light hair options at all will just make matters much worse for me, and probably for many others as well.
That’s a very candid statement, it’s a very innocent desire. Also consider the fact that High Elves are a part of the Alliance since it was founded, and it kinda boggles me how many years people requested the race to be playable on the faction.
Also, from being a staunch defender of the faction system, it was really petty and out of place of Ion to make a statement telling players whom are very loyal to the faction they play to roll the opposite one, disrespectful even in my view. “Factions are important to the game, let me tell players who play Alliance for years to switch to Horde because i don’t have arguments”
Omg. My Original Post was flagged so many times it was hidden! It was not even rude or anything like that? I have only made 2 total threads on this matter! With around a month’s space among them?
What is wrong with these people?
I got a message that it was flagged as trolling. I am not trolling, I am making a request on behalf of High elf and Void elf fans.

To be fair, there are actives topics on the forums to discuss this very topic. I don’t understand why you felt the need to create another one.
I believe it is me
Oh vanish from here please, what do you mean by a lot feedback? You can barely find anyone doing thread about the Nightborne. I did many in EU, in US forums, in Reddit, in Twitter, in YouTube yet all are ignored.
We are fighting for justice to look like the Nightborne, we are not fighting to get Night elven customizations.
Our race is unique, unique in all terms, starting from aesthetics and looks. We do not want to look like our Night elven sisters and brothers, we want to look like actual Shal’dorei, the Highborne that evolved within 10 thousand years.
They should. Because it is a shame, they know it.
Have you checked the race? It is a JOKE.
