Give Warriors Stealth Detection?

Saurfang is a Warrior, right? For those who’ve seen the “Safe Haven” cinematic know that the old Orc isn’t quite caught off-guard by the nasty gankers - the stealthed Forsaken Rogues!

Go on Blizzard, give Warriors (that arn’t Fury or Prot) some love! Stealth Detection and maybe some sort of Predictive Strikes and/or Counter Strikes! Or at least give it to Arms Warrior. That’ll make them more interesting! ^^

They were clearly one expac below them in terms of lvl and gear.
Hence they were detected and one shotted.

Or even a party of Vanilla rogue buddies questing Nagrand, that would make more sense than current version.

A good warrior doesn’t need stealth detection. A good warrior will bleed the rogue right before he vanishes to pop him out of stealth right away.

Yep… sure will…

He didn’t see through stealth he correctly judged where the rogue would be.

Stealth needs to be nerfed against players.

That’s the problem with undead rogues - even the stealth can’t hide the stench.

Orc have good nose , and Undead stinks a lot , you could follow them even if they are not in your continents (that the most possible scenarium i could imagine)

It’s the sound, first he hears one moving through the field. Then he hears one sprinting to him. I would be well up for being able to hear rogues footsteps when close. Then perfectly timing an aoe to break it.

Would actually take skill and concentration!

Except for that doesnt matter because rogues can still use opener abilities 3 seconds after stealth because logic…

Has anyone in this thread ever played PvP?

You can see rogues up close when they’re stealthed - they’re half transparent and make a humming noise. Everyone has this kind of “stealth detection”.

Plus, when you know a rogue is around, you spam AoE, like warriors spamming Whirlwind - which is sort of what Saurfang did, flailing his arm about, hitting the rogue.

I was thinking ‘whooshing’ noise. It’s hard to describe in text lol.

It does take about a second. Meaning that if a rogue is sprinting towards you in stealth. You don’t have a chance of seeing him.
But if they’re bad they will go in front of you and not attack immediately.

Also arms warriors can’t just spam whirlwind. That being said, I never had a problem killing a rogue in bgs.

Also, to be fair, Rogues can just sap targets from a mad range - well outside even a Fury Warrior’s Whirlwind radius!

Didnt think the thread would get that far! What I would want would be some sort of knowing the vague general area of the rogue rather than seeing their outline up close. Not the Arena Gem or DH’s demonsight level though.

Would also like an Anti-Sap or Anti-initial cc mechanic. So Arms Warrior can’t be stunned in the opening moments of a fight. Woukd that be fair at all?

Enrage is ant-sap and fear, is it not?

They somehow used vanish like 3 times each.

Just bring back TBC era Overpower.

That will teach them.

Aye it is but what I was thinking of was something like a constant passive that stops the first instance of sap or stun. It would be a form of “preparedness”. Enrage would become their version of Rogue’s Vanish.

Arms Warrior wouldnt be immune beyond the first absorbed cc, obviously, but it would mean it would be harder for Rogues to open up on them.

Only questions are;

  • Does it reset per Rogue or per Warrior combat?
  • How could it be adjusted to be fair for Rogues but also stop it being cheesed by Sapping in stealth then stunning the now vulnerable Warrior?

Honestly, I have a ton of other ideas for Arms Warrior that could add to this! ^^
