Giving away the name "RetBull"

Blizzard aren’t beholden to their own rules. Only we have to follow them.

“Use creative methods to get names”. Sorry, having to use a million alt codes to get a remotely fantasy sounding name makes you look infinitely worse than having a slightly goofy play on words.

About half of my characters have names without any special letters. Others worked with doubling letters (instead of one “l”, there were two) or putting “´” on one of the vowels.
Although it´s definitely far more difficult than on normal servers, I think the issue is exaggerated.

To add to this, none of my characters have names with special letters and i have a lot of characters.

I know if you name yourself something offensive you get a ban but having known someone who was a GM back when Blizzard actually had standards and knowing people who have got renamed, myself included. A ban was never handed out. Do they ban now for non-offensive names?

Nah don’t think so, all I know is that I was banned for two days for having an offensive name back when I was younger.

Doesn’t the game lowercase every letter after the first?

he’s probably using an Eszett which looks like; ß

which is actually a type of S, not a B.

Yeah, it looks like B though

Retssul could well work as a character name but I don’t see it fitting the Tauren very well, you know?

Rektbull is a good alternative

Personally I think there’s no shame in a good pun name here and there.

I’d shorten it to Retsul personally and not use an Eszett at all.

Me too, but clearly the German influence is important and I wouldn’t want to diminish that
