Are we just gonna ignore all these boosted characters in the 3s EU ladder ? Zunn-Gehennas and Xándyn-Gehennas boosted atleast 7 players in the glad title range in 3s.
i would like to post the link of the ironforge.pro team history of Zunn and Xandyn buuut i cant put link on this forum =))
just look at the 3v3 history, its fkin obvious
u can also have a look at the ladder, especially between 2433 and 2435 rating where u can find arena team with only one player (the boosted guy) and with Zunn and Xandyn as previous members of the team.
players involved are Lectør, Rizhiyap, Eldajal, Hugebull, Massivebull, Bloodyevil, DÍce, and also Oggish (who managed, idk how, to make zunn and xandyn disappear from the previous members history but i already faced him in arena with these players) - all from Gehennas server.
These people are basically paying these guys to get a glad, and so are taking glad spots instead of real players who are actually playing the game.
@blizzard @ kaivax can u atleast investigate these players and take the necessary actions ?
Well the problem is that from blizz pov boosting is completly ok, problem is if they are paying real money which they probably are but you cant ever prove that.
Ofc, and its also almost certain that they’re expressly paying with ingame gold, that the boosters will have no difficulty in selling for real money later
While I agree that’s bad, that kind of boosting isn’t even the worst thing that’s happening. There is a LUDICROUS amount of piloted carries going on, that I wouldn’t be surprised if upwards of 25% of people getting glad had someone else play their account for them.
its the scarab lord mount all over again.
people who see you with a gladiator rank are not gonna think “wow what a champion of pvp” they’re gonna think “i wonder who boosted him”
just like with the scarab lord mount people didn’t stop in awe and go “WOW WHAT A CHAMPION” they went “lol which guild from the oppossing faction did you collude with to get that?”.
Its super obvious that blizzard dont give a single shi about the game. But im sure they will do a little bit about the boosts and the botts alot later for show when its too late.
These titles mean nothing anymore. Back in the day they did. Someone already said it in this thread, you don’t look at people and think “wow he’s amazing”, you think “I wonder how much he paid for that”. Welcome to gaming in 2021.
while some think that boosts in wow is wrong, others believes it’s totally fine since it’s not against TOS, it’s been always a fact that everything in wow can be acquired through boosts if it’s leveling/raid gear/arena rate/title…etc!
i personally believe that any type of boosts doesn’t matter at all, since the system is not fair in the first place! so why would you care to have flawless equality in a broken game with no balance & filled with abuses! & No one put the same amount of efforts to reach the same goal.
in the end? the real problem can’t be in boosts! it is “real money trade” because it’s obvious that every single boost sellers are most likely selling the gold or boosting directly for cash, cus why would anyone annoy himself carrying someone or wasting time for someone without being paid for it & our whole life is about that! “pay money to save time OR use time to get money”
this is just a very old game without new thrilling experience or hidden future! it’s filled with bots/gold sellers & so much RMT, so if you like the Gamplay? play for fun & don’t be bothered about the idiots who take this game seriously.
The problem is that pvp titles are limited, around 220-230 teams will get gladiator from 2v2, so if 10 of those teams were boosted (and in reality it’s a lot more than that), that means 10 teams who would’ve made it got pushed out and missed rewards that they probably do deserve.
1st- why did you consider that those who got pushed out deserved to get it?
it’s the Top 0.5% of teams in the bracket getting Gladiator, so if 2players with multi alts made 10x arena teams and got positioned in top .5% in the region bracket, those 10teams will get glad, & that doesn’t mean they pushed anyone out! if someone failed to be in top .5%? he shouldn’t put the blame on any person who made 100account & heavy played to make all his arena teams reach the top 0.5%. there is no rules saying “u must only make 1team per season”
2nd- why do you think that those who got help or got boosted doesn’t deserve it? It’s not like original tbc s1 where you could just buy high rated team & obtain glad without even playing a single match! “To qualify for a seasonal reward in tbc-c, your personal arena rating needs to be within 100 points of your team’s rating, and you must have participated in 20% of your team’s games” so those people still did effort to gain it even if they paid extremely skilled player to play with them.
3rd- let’s say i got my char +2700rate & then i helped irl friends/family members in new teams to get similar rate, is there a rule against that? & even if i logged in my family members accounts to push rating for them? as long as it’s same pc, same ip & same last name holder! it’s not rule breaking! and it’s not my problem if some people who can’t secure a spot in top 0.5% crying because i play multi account to get glad on them all. as i said before “there is no rule saying u must only make 1team per season”
Yes they did? If a team that is not in the top 0.5% gains enough rating to be in the top 0.5%, they are by definition pushing another team out
That’s not what I said either, there’s nothing wrong with someone having two or more of their own characters inside of the cutoff if they’re good enough to make that happen
Because if they truly deserve it, why did they have to get boosted? If they deserved it, why weren’t they within the cutoff already?
You could not since you’ve always needed to have been part of at least 20% of a team’s total games to be eligible for rewards, even before personal rating was a thing
Just not enough effort to be able to get there without having to pay someone to get them there
Do you think it would be fair game if a company were to pay Lebron James enough money for him to be “employed” by said company so he can participate in the company basketball team and help said company win that season of the company basketball league?
No, it’s just detrimental towards the competitive integrity of the game
Unfortunately not, despite being EXTREMELY detrimental towards the competitive integrity of the game
Never said there was
The reality of the situation however, is that the majority of people who have played several characters into glad range, are not doing so on their own characters, they’re being paid large amounts of money (I would guesstimate that a piloted gladiator boost is probably going to be in the area of 2000 euro) to play someone else’s character for them, which, even if it didn’t break any rules (which it does), it would still be extremely detrimental towards the competitive integrity of the game, meaning it’s something blizzard should probably look into doing something about
Ofc it shouldn’t be allowed to pay irl money for arena boosts or anything else…wait a min!
Blizzard is already selling “skip leveling” to 58 with irl money! & blizzard also allow players to pay $$ to obtain gold in game (tokens in retail & soon coming to classic) and we all know that in wow? you can achieve/obtain anything with gold (all type of service)
-pay in gdkp run to get raid gear without playing the encounters.
-pay for teleports, so you don’t have to travel.
-pay for proff mats, so u don’t have to collect
-pay gold through AH to get anything without farming it yourself.
We’re all are paying to reach our goals without wasting time, regardless if we must put much personal effort or no effort, it sound not fair? but nothing is fair in this game & i personally believe that wow classic is not a healthy place to be considered competitive game, it’s just old rotten game filled with bots//hacks/real money trade.
don’t be bothered & stop wasting your time to obtain something useless & Just play for fun!
What’s the problem with boosting?
Paying an exp-booster for clearing dungeons for gold is legit.
Paying pvp players to play with you in arena sounds legit too.
Because (atleast for glad/rank1 boosts) the boosters usually play on your account which is against the TOS. Sure, if you just “buy” a 1850 boost for your weapon 2 rank1 players can easily carry you, but if you aim for 2,7k+ even 2 insane players cant carry someone super terrible (and only terrible people buy gladi boosts).
edit: thats why highrated selfplay boosts are more expensive and mostly done with wintrading (which is also against the TOS).
Yeah this issue is absolutely sickening and it’s only gonna get worse if they don’t get caught in season 1. Blizzard investigate all the players above gladiator cutoff and take the necessary actions.
