Global cooldown cap

Do you think that 0.75 gcd is fine, too fast or too slow?

Personally, i think base gcd should be reduced to 1 sec or so, and haste decreases it to 0.5, it’s still half, but the difference between 0.75 and 0.5 is not that much, instead while 1 sec gcd feels fine, 1.5 is pretty annoying.

What do you think? Personally i have no trouble following the rotation.

I would like to see more abilities removed from the GCD, like Avenging Wrath or Shield of Vengeance. I can live with my actual attacks being on the GCD.

Oh yea, absolutely, but that has been said since legion.

Did you play BM hunter before they made a demented decision with the GCD changes?

Used to feel as smooth as butter, now it feels like you’re trying to smash square’s into a circle hole. Very clunky.

Be prepared to be attacked by people screaming “oNeShOt mAcRoS!!!1!1!!”

With Global Cooldown changes, right now arcane mage has a 10-15 seconds setup.
Which is not that fun.

I don’t have to play hunter to know it’s bad, i already know what it means to have like a 5 sec setup before actually doing damage, it still feels bad even at haste cap.

Divine shield plz. So can bubble hearth

i main hunter since 2012 and the GCD was not tied to haste for a very long time. I loved this playstyle, short GCD but you had some castable abilities that helped you replenish focus (steady shot, cobra shot). Ye cobra shot had a cast timer and was a focus GENERATOR, not a dump.

I quit the game early Legion because how crappy the class played thanks to this accursed change. The break lasted 3 years. Right now it’s fun to play with 36% unbuffed haste and many haste procs (overwhelming power, vitae trinket) AND the VoP major. But it will not last long, Shadowlands will nuke the class back into fitting a square into a circle hole.

Defensives shouldn’t be on the GCD IMO

Nothing that isn’t directly tied to our core rotation should be on the GCD.

Really do not get why Blizzard insists on sticking to this change when it have undoubtedly caused players to abandoned the game since it have ruined the fun factor of almost every spec. It just isn’t enjoyable to do your rotation seamlessly and then have a break spamming 1-3 cooldowns in hope that they actually are activated before you can go back to the rotation. And it’s annoying enough with even just one cooldown.

I agree

The global cooldown should be 1.5 for ALL classes while gaining only 25% of the normal haste reduction, half hte problem with the game is that they can’t balance 200 different global cooldown cycles, we didn’t have many problems before they allowed haste to reduce globals.

They are perfectly capable of balancing the game. The issue is that they are also quite happy taking a sledgehammer to their fixes every 2 years…

Absolutely disagree 1.5 gcd is unbearable. This is why i proposed the above.

1 sec gcd base is bearable, and 0.5 is still possible to follow, but the 1.5 to 0.75 is between really slow and nice, while 1 to 0.5 is decent to good. And you would get 0.5 at 100% haste which is not that easy to get normally.

I don’t really get your second point though, if the point is about stat balance, well that’s not very hard to achieve, you can just change how many % points each point of a certain stat gives you. If crit is too low, just increase the ratio of points to percentage.

Obviously the stat value changes based on the spec, but that’s pretty much it.

I always thought that at the end of the expansion people should be running around with no less than 60 % secondary stats on the stat you invested the most. Unless it’s versa.

Remember legion? The first patch, after the patch they nerfed the secondary stat scaling, and i did not like that at all. I think they should have just kept it the same. They nerfed it because the secondary stats would scale way above primary, but it happens anyway, and there are other ways to solve the “problem”

Big defensive cooldowns or general defensive abilities?

Depends tbh. If I look at rogue feint, it’s a defensive that uses your offensive resource and has a very short cooldown. This skill I’m okay with having on the GCD. You can cast it frequently and there should be some sort penalty for that. I rather have it on the GCD than have it increase cooldown for example.
