Glyph to remove shadow effect for spriests

Hi,

Times change, so must Wow. Make a glyph that allows, those spriests who want it, to remove shadow effect all together, outside pvp ofc.

Im a servant of the light and I also want to see my transmog.

I first saw a similar topic 3 or 4 years ago and a lot of people supported it, still Blizz haven’t done anything :frowning:

But!
How can you be a spriest and call yourself a servant of light? You literally traded your soul to the Void for power

They should let the glyph display the normal player model, and maybe have a very subtle shadow bubble shield around the priest with lots of free space so it doesn’t block the main appearance. Or maybe a equally subtle purple aura or mist below the player (let’s be honest who cares if the ankles are slightly covered in a fog?).

For that I’d support it, but it’s not Shadowform that puts me off playing the spec. (Btw, could be a passive… it’s always on anyways.) It’s the gameplay being crappy, either a button bloat or just the spec not working as I like.

I do like it in Classic as one cannot mog there, and it fits whatever battle gear you equip, but with most of my gear it’s a no go on Retail. Shadowform is so weird with a bright Mooncloth Robe.

A shadow priest is a servant of the light now?

No. Otherwise there’d be no way of telling a healer from a damage dealer.

If I am not mistaken there is already a glyph that lightens the shadow effect - but I have not seen it on the AH house in years now. Does not remove it but makes much lighter.

Like you cant tell a Paladin Healer from DPS and Tank either.

Honestly… It ain’t enough by far. The shadowform is still way too visible. I really liked the reply Dunkiee gave about it possibly being a passive - it is up all the time.
I think that shadowform could become an ability that you can simply get, like the Fetch ability for hunters or Flap for boomkins.
And if there were multiple versions too, that’d be awesome. I for one would love if the body itself wasn’t covered by the shadows, but the character would be surrounded by shadowy ravens as we saw among the Onslaught Raven Priests.

Same with druid astral form. A nice alternative to moonkin, but I wish I could make it less transparent.

Remove Shadow from what kind of Priest?

Yeah the option to hide the shadowform would be nice, or at least tone it waay down. The current glyph doesn’t cut it at all.

It is so annoying to have the silly shadowform cover your hard earned transmog.

The thing is, with that glyph, I could tell myself Im not a shadow priest, but just a priest.

The old shadowform was much better, I can’t be doing with the wiggly lines. I prefered shadow priest when it wasn’t old god priest.

If it was a glyph and not a permanent alteration, I’d be happy with others doing it if they wanted. As for me, I’m a servant of the void who doesn’t do mogging (except for my weapon because people can see that), so I’m happy as I am.

Yeah it should be completely optional for sure. More options is a win for all

I disagree.

A shadow priest should be in Shadow form, and balance druids should be fat chickens.

Next step is what, Feral druids asking if their normal character can just fight with a cat ears headset like weeabs?

Thing is - you can cast spells even without these forms being in action. Solar Wrath, Mindblast, … Countless examples. So I do not think that the comparison is a really good one.

You disappoint your true master.

That’s a very nice idea you just had there!
