Hello Blizzard and Community,
I’m reporting a bug where glyphs I earned up to BfA are missing or hidden across all EU characters and Blizzard support has refused to restore them despite claiming they can see them. Here’s a summary of the issue and GM responses.
How It Started
I returned to WoW after a break since BfA and found my glyphs gone on all my characters . These include rare drops and low % drop rate ones.
On my Warlock or any other character there are no “purple triangles” in the spellbook across all specs, and spells like Soulwell show no visual effects even if i cast them from all three specs. I had to craft new glyphs for my Demonhunter using Auction House materials and they showed up again as normal in the spellbook.
GM Responses
I opened a ticket, and here’s how GMs handled it:
- Lodstton (2 days ago): Suggested checking specializations and re-buying glyphs from the Auction House or Inscriptionists, ignoring my request to restore earned glyphs.
- Ksashral (14 hours later): Repeated Lodstton’s advice, suggested farming old zones or raids, and offered to identify glyph sources but didn’t address restoration.
- Pibomojy: Claimed my Warlock had glyphs (Felguard, Crimson Banish, Soulwell) and my Demonhunter had recent ones, but I confirmed no glyphs are visible or functional. They said tools can’t track old glyph history.
- Shertoxfai: Told me to report a bug on the US forums, which I can’t access (EU player). Ignored my evidence and escalation request.
- Nizuzigu: Suggested ingame bug reporting (Esc > Support) and claimed only developers can investigate, still ignoring my evidence.
- Mesmartiys (latest): Admitted they can see learned glyphs but not unlearned ones, claimed no records exist to verify, and refused to restore anything, saying I must re-farm. They declared the matter closed, stating “no amount of tickets will change this answer.”
Current Issue:
If GMs can see glyphs on my account (as Pibomojy and Mesmartiys claimed), why can’t they restore them? I already own these cosmetics, so it shouldn’t be impossible.
Blizzard has restored items that vanished from bugs bugs or accidental deletion before. If they’re hidden due to a bug developers need to investigate. I offered to rebuy Auction House glyphs but asked for rare drops to be restored which they ignored.

Please investigate this bug where earned glyphs are missing or hidden even tho you say i have them.
This type of customer service is pushing me away from WoW yet again because this is not the first time the support acts like lazy deflecting script posters.
