Gnomeregan difficulty does not fit Classic

Like if you agree.

Some bosses kinda requires everyone hooked up on discord or having everyone flawlessly know exactly what to do. Pugs spend +3-4 hrs and do not even manage to clear it.

Now that you cannot even LoS Electrocutioner 6000 because you think clever use of game mechanics is not acceptable the coordination will be on par with Mythic+ Retail stuff. Heck, even retail is supposedly easier.

This does not fit classic. Classic players do not want competitive raiding. We want loot. Getting loot is what is fun.

Please downtune.

Gnome is going to be downtuned when the 3 day lockout begins.
Now its fine for a weekly lockout.
And the first response from our guild is to let it be a weekly lockout but no downtuning

Yes. These are the pillar stones of raid design in world of warcraft since 2004. This should never change. The notion that endgame raids yielding the best obtainable loot in the entire endgame state should be as puggable as deadmines is insanity.

If youre you cant even get on discord then you dont deserve loot.

My guild spent 4 hours clearing gnomer on the first try. 2 last bosses gave us a fun challenge. yesterday we did our 2nd run and we cleared it in 50 minutes with only 1 wipe.

Next week we will probably do it in 30 minutes with no wipes and minimal communication since everyone has learned the very basic mechanics of gnomer.

Honestly gnomer was relatively easy. It is a braincell count check on some bosses though for sure, which is nice. It means not every 2 braincelled individual will be able to progress

You being real? I just cleared with a pug group last night died on last to bosses twice each because couple ppl lacked experience apart from that was easy

Lets just remove all mechanics so everyone gets free gear. And make it A meme raid for 2-3 months

Classic is already easy, and it’s even easier in Sod due to all those runes.

Just no. Classic players want fun and having free loot is NOT what we want. We want challenge too and not a raid that look like a simple instance.
You want loot go to retail.

Ah yes, those free mythic raids on retail. Can’t even compare to checks notes pugs taking 3-4 hrs to clear SoD ones a week after launch! You just get showered with bis in dragonflight, it is insane.

Seemed super easy for my group… only difficulty is on the last boss for the first kill. Once you’ve got it down its on farm.

Retail do have LFR though and there its just sit in the raid until stacks build up and you get free loot

Honestly, I don’t think LFR is that much easier than SoD raids. Sometimes there do be mechanics. The difference is - SoD raids have bis inside of them. LFR loot is barely above your world quest rewards. “you want loot go to retail” holds as much water as “you want loot go craft 30 pairs of green low-level pants”.

sod gives bis,lfr gives pepe loot.you can get lfr quality loot in sod,it is sold by vendors or costs 10s in ah.if you think bis in retail is easier than bis in sod you are clueless

I hope blizzard sticks to their guns for once and don’t nerf gnomeregan. It feels just as it should be for SoD, good guilds / pugs are instantly clearing. And worse groups will have abit longer learning curve over a a few resets, and the chance to get stronger gear / consumables to help clear it. In the end in my opinion, everyone will have this raid on farm within a month, so why nerf it? It was FUN now, and if you nerf it, it wont be fun anymore.

Gnomeregan is super ez. We did blind run and completed it with minimal wipes. If it gets nerfed then babbie tier pleblords get even more unnecessary training wheels, like their welfare epics from STV

I never say that. I just say that in retail you can have purple items more easily than in SOD (for the moment). Are they bis, of course not. And i agree the “real” raid in retails are more difficults but there are easiest ways on Retail to have really valuable loots.
My point was Symeon said “Classic players do not want competitive raiding. We want loot” and my answer is: No, if you want easy loot go Retail where you can have purple items more easily.

i agree with op

people with commitments are having trouble keeping up with the pace of the grind and the phases

items gained through these long grinds are quickly replaced

the raid takes at least 1 hour to clear with a guild, with a pug without voice comms it can become very difficult and lengthy

People with commitments don’t have 4 hours to spend every 3 days doing this and i think you’ll lose a lot of players as a result

Nice. Get them out of there.

Havent done it yet but my guildies told that its easyer than bfd if its true im dissapointed since new raid instances should go harder than previous raid.
