So I rolled this character during the Legion pre-patch when gnome hunter finally became playable classes.
And I literally rushed it to max level, not caring for the classic reputations.
So naturally… I didn’t get my rep up to exalted for Gnomeregan.
No the tabard only works in 1-80 dungeons and the best rate of getting rep on my own at this very moment is Doing Trial of the champion over and over and over and over.
But surely there must be a different way?
I noticed there aren’t any ambassadors any longer that accept runecloth in exchange for rep.
Equip your Gnomeregan tabard, and run the Botanica instance (TBC) on repeat, put on some good music, do the runs for a couple of hours and you will have the exalted status you want.
I was already doing this in trial of the crusader 3 min = 1300 rep.
you can do this 5 times and than you’ll forced to wait 30-60 minutes before you can enter another dungeon for “you have entered too many instances recently” error.
There’s not really any other way anymore. I’d probably do another dungeon though, Botanica, Shadow lab or Halls of lightning. Takes a little bit longer, gives more rep and you won’t hit the 10 instance limit so fast you get a bunch of downtime.
Questing in the old world. First of all get all the spesific Gnomeregan quests, other than that any old world quest give a porportion of their spesific rep, to all Alliance cities. It’s just hidden. At least it used to work this way.
I did that too, on all of my characters that didn’t have the rep, when they announced first heritage sets. Doing one dungeon several times is kind of boring. This adds some variety, if you don’t mind travel times between dungoens.
