But generally, you can’t take a protected name, an actor’s name etc etc.
If your name’s not offensive but against the rules you will get a free rename. Just don’t make it happen too often.
Thank you for the answer, but it doesn’t answer the question, it just says that names can’t be offensive. I’m from a different culture, i don’t know what is offensive for blizzard. They changed painting of womans to fruit, i’m kinda confused whats the norm here.
No what it exactly says it cannot be inappropriate in game and that it is determined by player reports and final Blizzard decision. Blizzard except for blacklisting some of the more egregrious names does not actively screen for such names.
Naming
Names are subject to the same rules established above. Any name the player has the ability to customize—such as player names, BattleTags, and guild names—must be appropriate and inoffensive. Any name that violates our standards or disrupts the community will be changed, and additional limitations may be placed on the offending account per our discretion.
Take note that acceptable names are determined by player reports and Blizzard’s decision, and role-playing servers may have distinct standards for using game-appropriate names.
If you meant a direct answer of is “x” a bannable name, Blizzard will just refer you to the naming policy above. You won’t get a more detailed answer than my own’s.
