[Goblin/Gnome RP] B.O.O.M.T.E.C. Incorporated - The Expedition to Khaz Algar!

BOOMTEC has definitely NOT spent the past week chasing leads in order to recover some manner of stability to their companys legal state, and news detailing this are greatly exaggerated.

There are rumors even, about a new restaurant(?) opening up, affiliated to these ingenious lot! (citation needed)

As Dragonflight sneaks up on us, B.O.O.M.T.E.C.'s revamp is nearing its end point with our Alliance side guild - the Gold Coast Company, getting a swanky revamp into Sparkforge Industries so as to better define its concept and solve an unfortunate naming clash with Gold Coast Adventuring which was founded at the same time!

Together, B.O.O.M.T.E.C. and Sparkforge Industries seek to enjoy the benefits of the truce between the Alliance and Horde whilst still contributing to the knowledge, technology and warfronts of their respective factions. However, there are rumours on the wind of a great ship being constructed slowly but surely, one that will provide them a safe place to advance science and technology away from the prying eyes of any faction and their morality…

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to join Sparkforge Industries on Alliance side you’re more than welcome to on the understanding that it’s a side guild and at time B.O.O.M.T.E.C. events will be prioritised - the guild accepts mainly Dwarves and Gnomes as researchers but any race can be a mercenary except Lightforged.

Following a long and deceptive ploy orchestrated by an imposter within the directorial board of BOOMTEC, a great clash at sea was had; the perpetrators true nature revealed, a weapon of mass destruction turned on its creators, new allies gained and lost… as well as enemies.

Having neutralized the Venture Companys dreaded naval outpost and its puppeteered crew, BOOMTEC and its employees-and-allies now look towards the horizon, where something grandiose and mysterious awaits!

…Right after they recover from their various battle wounds, of course.

No rest for the wicked!

We’re currently off and away from the shores of the Mainland, taking the conspirators whose battleship we took down last week, head on! Yearlong mysteries are unraveled, stakes are raised higher… new questions are asked.

Thankfully there’s hazard pay for all this, and plenty of things for our soldiers, engineers, researchers and mercenaries alike, to blow to kingdom come. Anything for the goodwill of our mogul and investors, right?

BOOMTEC employees have another eventful week behind them.

For quite a few days, we have been deployed to Tol Barad, seeking to liberate captive workers of the Bilgewater Cartel. In doing so, we met hefty resistance in further allies of the shadowy puppeteers behind our recent Venture troubles… not just draconic beings, but those of drust as well, drifting us into an unlikely alliance during our stay on this harrowing landmass.

Coming to realize that our foes’ ultimate masters were something far more powerful and sinister than what we anticipated, we narrowly cleared our mission… and returned to claiming land for the Bilgewater Cartel.

I’m sure we won’t run into trouble with that, I mean, who even wanders around this specific part of the Eastern Kingdoms…?

The Stormwind City Sentries and Sunnyglade Ratter Company have both assaulted one of BOOMTEC’s operations in Stranglethorn, providing quite a chaotic fight against the superior equipt Goblins only to be stopped by a sudden appearance of a "DEATHWING 2.0?!"
…

It hurt me to attack the goblins after they were so polite  , maybe one day we can show you the wonders of beans :beans:

As Azeroth is ravaged by the elemental storms brought about by Primalist zealots, B.O.O.M.T.E.C. Incorporated, like so many others, deployed to provide a response to the crisis and meet the threat head on…- within reason, of course.

Having met with their business partners to concoct a plan of action, they now seek to prevent the Primalists from reaching their assumed goals of targeted destruction. One can only hope they will be enough on their own… and if not, maybe some help is on its way to them already.

B.O.O.M.T.E.C. and their sister company, Sparkforge, have some interesting days behind them.

Both them, and their elven associates have deployed in response to the elemental storms weaved by Primalists, and while facing the near-overwhelming odds, they have made contact with the enigmatic dracthyr, combining their forces and thinning the enemy forces considerably during their Badlands stay; not to mention the mysterious trail they’ve stumbled onto deep below the surface while doing so.

Intrigued by their findings, and with newfound, prospective allies in their collective ranks - not to mention official backing from the Reliquary of Silvermoon - the goblins have set their eyes on a new venture; the Dragon Isles.

The strange coalition B.O.O.M.T.E.C. built around itself has been busy preparing for their voyage into the new-but-old landmass that’s the dragons’ ancestral homeland.

One of such measures taken as preparation was shal’dorei scholars inviting inquisitive dracthyr along for a tour of Suramar - drawing parallels of their histories, teaching them about Azeroth, and offering their libraries, should further inquiries arise.

Meanwhile, the main goblin force of the company works hard* sweeping areas of the mainland clean after the primalist invasion has ceased.

The new name does not lie! B.O.O.M.T.E.C. is now part of a consortium with our own alt guilds: Sparkforge Industries and the Astral Reliquary. These guilds were created with embracing the neutral/exploratory feeling of Dragonflight in mind. We welcome people to join these guilds as BOOMTEC will be sharing plenty of events with them - especially with our expedition to the Dragon Isles in the new year. However, please note that BOOMTEC will always be the priority as these are indeed very casual alt guilds and for the best experience it’s worth adding a character to BOOMTEC as well. Here are overviews of the guilds, with more in depth descriptions being able to be found on the Argent Archives:

BOOMTEC Incorporated:

A Bilgewater Cartel company led by Mogul Boomcrank who specialize in researching and manufacturing weaponry and solutions for threats to their buyers as well as applying them in the field with the help of the Battalion unit assigned to be company security. We have multiple positions from R&D staff to Battalion to Public Relations.

Accepted Races: Primarily Goblins alongside Orcs, Forsaken, Vulpera and other races barring elves as apprentices and mercenaries.

The Astral Reliquary:

A branch of the Reliquary founded in Suramar that focuses on both the main goals of the Reliquary and more specifically the advancement of Elven understanding of magic and technology, using their ties with BOOMTEC to ensure that the best artefacts don’t end up being sold away. Recently Horde loyal Dracthyr have joined their ranks with their interesting applications of magic.

Accepted Races: Nightborne, Blood Elves, Dracthyr.

Sparkforge Industries:

An Alliance mercenary company on the BOOMTEC payroll that got taken over by Gnomes and Dwarves in a buyout; Sparkforge Industries focuses on advancing Alliance technology, science and weaponry by any means necessary and making a tidy profit while doing so. Due to their existing ties with BOOMTEC, the company has been endorsed by the Explorers League to go to the Dragon Isles, hiring researchers, technicians and security in the form of mercenaries.

Accepted Races: Mainly Gnomes and Dwarves but all races of the Alliance are welcome with good reason.

A night or two ago B.O.O.M.T.E.C. and their union of varied scholars, artisans and other people of various skillsets, gathered for an assessment of their impending expedition.
Via official backing, a course was charted to the Dragon Isles, and preparations are well underway - including recruitment for all three groups!
We’ll take it easier until the end of the year to gear up and hammer everything into shape (not to mention the obvious holiday period), but after that, it’ll be time to scope out this new land for some good ol’ OPPORTUNITIES.

After celebrating Winters Veil and New Years together, BOOMTEC, The Astral Consortium and Sparkforge Industries are going to embark on a journey to the elusive Dragon Isles TOMORROW from Booty Bay! This is a better time than any to join one of our guilds as for the next two to three months we’ll be exploring the isles and getting involved in a new round of exciting stories by both officers and members who we encourage and support in making their own events.

Please hit up any of our officers for information on the guilds or sign up in the guild finder, and do check our AA pages for more information. We’ll be stopping in Suramar tomorrow, with another chance for people to travel to the Isles to join us later this month!

BOOMTEC, alongside with their allies of the Astral Consortium and Sparkforge, have reached the Dragon Isles after a long few days of traveling, planning, and peril!
Nary sinking on our boat meant to ferry us unto the main ship, taking brief respite in Suramar, and even beating back an attack from fearsome pirates, our trip was eventful, but never any less worth it!
We made landfall in the Waking Shores, where we’ll begin our part of this expedition in earnest!

Now settled at the Life Vault Ruins camp on the Waking Shores, BOOMTEC and partner companies are already hard at work thanks to our freeform noticeboard that gives everyone goals to fulfil and strive towards even on days when we have no planned events. We’re so glad to see this system already working out well, and we’re very excited to see what else we can do and discover on the shores!

Recruitment remains OPEN for all guilds, with BOOMTEC recruiting Goblins, Orcs, Forsaken and mercenaries of all races; Astral Consortium recruiting Nightborne, Sin’dorei and Dracthyr and Sparkforge Industries recruiting mainly Gnomes and Dwarves but also mercenaries of any race except lightforged Draenei.

The expedition continues! We’ve had a great week of RP on the Dragon Isles settling into camp and exploring the immediate area - as well as finding an old friend shipwrecked on the Waking Shores!

Recruitment remains open for BOOMTEC, Sparkforge and Astral Consortium. Feel free to hit up officers of any guild to discuss recruitment!

As we near two weeks of our expedition to the Dragon Isles, it’s nearing time to move camp towards another part of the Waking Shores where we’ll hopefully interact with some of the Tuskarr as well as increase our portfolio of research.

If you want to see some of the research our members have been doing IC for yourself, everyone has been encouraged to add their research to the Argent Archives!

BOOMTEC and company are still hanging out at the Life Vault Ruins, for a little over a week now! We’ve made significant forays into research, including but not limited to resources and some history of the isles!
We’ve even made contact with trained dragonriders who were nice enough to not deny us some room for a radio relay! Our security detail had run-ins with the local sea giants in the meantime…

There’s plenty to do on the isles, and we barely even started!

The past week, we’ve had close encounters with the Djaradin, enjoyed some good ol’ fishin’, rescued ANOTHER indispensable member of our group, and even trekked a good distance along the Waking Shores to find ourselves a new campsite!

There were some disagreements but that’s bound to happen when our colorful crew is led by varied peoples claiming themselves to be Azeroths foremost geniuses, and are accompanied by locals besides. Our time has still proven to be lucrative so far, and we don’t intend to stop now!
