After several weeks of thorough, fruitful, and often perilous exploration, BOOMTEC, Sparkforge, and the Astral Consortium have returned from the Dragon Isles!
Naturally, we had a brief run-in with opportunistic pirates, but we reached the mainland without much fuss afterwards⌠even rescued an unfortunate soul looking for work as we did so!
We can once again be found in Bilgewater Harbor or Ratchet, depending on where our work takes us that day!
After some downtime, both BOOMTEC and Sparkforge are gearing up for a visit to warmer climates; the latter even got some new hires!
As the new name of our thread suggests, both BOOMTEC and Sparkforge Industries are now welcoming new members! BOOMTEC are searching for more employees, from researchers to mercenaries and Battalion soldiers. Meanwhile, Sparkforge are looking to build a brand new team of researchers and bring back Gnome RP!

Neutral roleplay does not mean we cuddle all the time. Yesterday, tensions between goblins and gnomes were settled in a battle between trike and mechanostrider. The goblins won!
(Donât listen to the people who claim throwing sticky grenades is illegal, it was a goblin race track after all.)

We also make REALLY good tents.
Weâre now at Chiselgrip as we chase the Sundered Flame who stole research that is crucial to us from Karnâthar. Can we foil their schemes and get those schematics back? We donât know weâve seen rare primalite ore and weâre gonnaâ mine it.
We also now have guild finder postings up for both guilds! Feel free to apply to our guild on either faction through the guild finder and weâll send letters/try to catch you online when we can!
Does this mean I now also have to fear gnomes abducting me next to goblins?

BOOMTEC and Sparkforge Industries have been working together with the Dustpaw Caravan and Ardent Pursuit, seeking to take a more peaceful route towards achieving their goals of taking back blueprints stolen by the Sundered Flame. So far weâve shrunk a Molten Giant, fought our foes in the tunnels of Blackrock Mountain and forged ourselves and our allies some neat fire resistant armour!

R&D deciphered an ancient key while the rest of us burnt through every single war machine assigned to us for the mission, but after an epic battle within Blackrock Mountain and a Sassy Hardwrench style aerial rescue from Betti we helped take down Baron Calypse AND a leyline infused crystal drake created by the Sundered Flame!
Even though the Sundered Flame dropped the blueprints we were after down towards the fires of the mountain to cover their escape, we managed to retrieve them. With a map and that deciphered key in hand, weâre not leaving the Searing Gorge JUST yet as we venture into Blackwing Descent to see what hoards of knowledge and wealth we can uncoverâŚ
Recruitment is as always open and by the end of the week weâll be on our way home to prepare for more shenanigans and revelations. This is a great time to join, and if you apply in the guild finder or just drop us a message here or in game weâll get back to you lickety split!

Spruggl couldnât sleep. Not because of the week long campaign against primalists, elementals and rogue dracthyr. Not because she had been on fire three times this week, lost one shredder and one gyrocopter in the field and landed in the middle of evil cultists with her parachute. Not because she had a long talk with the mogul who acknowledged her work and even gave her some advice which kind of research might be the most profitable. Not because she led a team of R&D goblins and brought them back successfully, which even gave her some respect from Hex. Not because she discovered the fun and thrill of lava skating. No. Everything of these events were full of action, but Spruggl had other thoughts in mind that hindered her from sleeping. She was genuinely impressed.
After the big campaign against Lord Calypse (Spruggl suspects his first name is Apo) Boomtec and especially their dracthyr allies investigated a part of Nefarians old lab. They were even able to unlock a secret tract with a titan key they got from the Sundering Flames during the campaign. It was super huge! There was a giant hall full of whelping bones. Hundreds, maybe thousands of dragon whelps must have had lost their life during the experiments made by Nefarian, the black dragons, the orcs and the goblins merchants. There were so many alchemic tables, old notes and a lot of tanks full of rotten dragon blood.
Spruggls allies were disgusted and the dracthyr went into rage, realizing that they were a similar experiment themselves. Junkgnome Jerin thought that this was all just due to old god corruption that made Nefarian mad. Spruggl didnât believe that. This was the work of a man (or dragon) who could think big and wasnât afraid to make his hands dirty or stop if there is some collateral damage. Maybe he was mad, thatâs why he used so many shadow magic in his experiments â an approach that obviously didnât work. However, there has been a lot of science, experiments, progress and knowledge creation in this halls. These stupid adventures who cleared Blackwing Liar have destroyed much of it. Their dracthyr allies continued to destroy some of the equipment. Idiots who could not see the impressive work Nefarian had done here.
Spruggl and her teammates have found a lot of goblin skeletons. They even found a note of a worker (and the place where he has hidden his treasure, a great bonus payment!). But today was one of the rare days where Spruggl didnât cared much for the gold. She wanted to have the research notes, the alchemical knowledge that was in this place. Unfortunately, she didnât found the big grimoires. Some interesting vials with old samples, but no recipes. Maybe she need to go back to this place eventually. In the hope for more knowledge they havenât seen.
Moreover, Spruggl realized she needed to think bigger. She had made her own dragon experiment with her protodragon Subject One. But it was just one dragon! There would be way faster and better progress if she would try to fast-grow, fast-age 100 protodragons at the same time! The bounding with the whelps would probably not be possible with that many test objects, but she could bound with one after she figured out how to successfully fast-grow and fast-age them. But how to get her hands on 100 protodragon eggs? Maybe enslave some protodragon mothers? Thatâs not something she could do in secret with a team of three goblins. But what ifâŚ
And so, she lays in her bed, awake, thinking about how to think bigger.

We had an awesome after-campaign plot today where we visited Blackfang Liar. Turns out not everyone in the guild(s) have the same moral views and priorities. But I would appreciate some more shady and morally grey toons to join us! Canât walk the path of greed, recklessness and high risk taking alone!

Sparkforge Industries will be at our shop in Tinker Town, Ironforge tonight to do some work on our machinery and fulfil some orders people made at our booth in Stormwind earlier this week. Feel free to come on down and see if we can hit you up with some new technology, fix your technology or be recruited into our ranks tonight. Weâre always looking for mercenaries, staff and researchers of all races- especially Gnomes and Dwarves!

Had a wild night tonight! After fulfilling the delivery promised to the Concord, Sparkforge Industries met with a Dark Iron looking to be recruited before going out on the town in Stormwind. We then encountered ANOTHER Dark Iron only to find he wanted to give us âgiftsâ. Some were suspicious, but others were pleasantly surprised when he bought them TREADBLADES! What a wild night in Stormwind for Sparkforge Industries!
Coming up on Saturday, BOOMTEC will be meeting up and doing some sales based RP as well as the company comes to terms with the unexpected demise of controversial scientist Sparque Gigawatt! Feel free to come on down and meet up with BOOMTEC tomorrow night in either the Crossroads, Orgrimmar or Ratchet depending on where we are. Weâre always up to make some sales, recruit some people and introduce them or just do some casual RP!
On one hand they have many goblins, and goblins are good and Hordey, but on the other hand they also have gnomes and gnomes are bad and Alliancey! This leaves me confused, such an unusual union should not work this well! But it does!

I sure hope innkeeper Wiley is doing alright and no cask of Eversong wine has gone missing from his stock, thatâd be really unfortunate.
