I’m kinda interested in the general consensus on whether goblins or gnomes are preferred by the community. Both are pretty much the horde and alliance versions of eachother and the most obvious parallel of the two factions besides maybe the OG humans and orcs. Do you prefer gnomes with their helpful technology like the deeprun tram, or are you more into goblins and their explosive and probably not up to code type of tech? Both are definitely some of the most important within their specific factions.
Gnomes.
Less risk of death in just about any aspect of engineering or society.

Goblins hands down. Gnomes are supposed to be cute, but to certain people only. I find them rather annoying. For example gnome finds something he’s gonna tinker with it and try to look cute. Goblin find something, he’s gonna try to sell it to you or blow it up. Which sounds more entertaining? Goblins however play their role to the max.

I have never liked tech in fantasy and the only reason I like gnomes is because I do a great voice for them in D&D that people love. I despise goblins, they are basically ferengi from star trek. Bleeech.

Goblins are like the worst creatures to ever exist in almost any fantasy aside tensura and wow.
I don’t particularly like them though, the problem i have is mostly that they are too small, and armor just looks better on a bigger model.
If i had to choose though, gnomes.

I like them both. Have played them both. I find goblins more fun tho, very expressive, slightly crazy… I don’t know, just fun.
Transmog is a pain in the butt on both tho, everything get squished.

Nah man! Goblin and Gnome hate is overdone. Two of the most unique, interesting, and shockingly cool races.

Then it’s silly nonetheless. I cant see any genuine good reason to hate them that makes good sense. Dislike sure, personal preference exists. But hate that’s wild.

I love them for the engi mounts and their techno art style is classic, very different from each other but if we had just one it would be one sides, but together they complete the picture for me.

Goblins are way more interesting due to the more dangerous & explosive inventions, but gnomes have facial hair which im really jealous of. The only facial hair goblins get are sideburns that only come with certain hair styles. I guess if you squint your eyes you can make the bone piercing to look like a tiny moustache, but ive never committed to this with my goblins.

Tough call, they’re both underused comic relief races for their respective factions.
But out of the two, i’d say Goblins, because their complete disregard for safety (Their own or that of other people) makes them funnier.
I would also like to join the Chromie dislike-train (Hate is a bit much), it’s difficult to take any scene seriously where Chromie is squeaking her lines.
