Would a “God of War” title in-game be considered copyright infringement? Seeing as how we’re champions and the game is called world of warcraft, it would make sense we would at one point ascend into a literal God, and we would be the gods of war or Warcraft.
Just a thought.
It’s not.
But alot of people will be against it, they didn’t like when WoD made us Commanders. And hated when we got promoted to Highlords and other ranks in Legion. I doubt they will like people to get the title of “god of (anything)”. I personally have nothing against it.
“God of War” is way to selfiest.
But if you use " of the Alliance" it’s exactly the same
Pitty it’s not account wide
The name itself no, as they took it directly from the Greek god Ares and the Roman god Mars.
What would be copyright infringement is if they used a likeness of Kratos in WoW without prior permission from Santa Monica studios.
Some1 didn’t got the title in WoD and Its little jely or pissed? Frustrated?
I don’t think it’s an issue, however that would be up to Sony to pursue if they really felt it was a problem.
