I did not do Legion on this account before. Only the introduction quest line. Do I still need to do all that initial rep grinding quest from Khadgar in order to go to Argus zones ? (I’m talking about “Uniting the Isles” quest btw)
I only want to go and solo the raids and dungeons there. It seems very unnecessary to close a 4 expansion old zone behind a full questline at this point.
If there is an easier way to travel there I would really appreciate the info.
You have to do the intro for Legion. Most of it is skippable.
When done Khadgar should give you the Hand of Fate quest that brings you to the Vindicaar and Argus.
if you’re an engineer you can buy the argus wormhole from AH
you need level 1 legion engineering to use it
the problem is that it teleports you to one of the 3 zones at random.
i’m not sure if something changed with war within, but on a fresh char you won’t have the teleporters discovered.
on my alts during dragonflight i was able to use the vindicaar teleporter in that whatever zone i land in
and from vindicaar i can teleport to the zone that i want
maybe not the best solution but it was what i used to do on my alts
Not sure if the dungeons and raids are unlocked then.
Normally you have to ‘unlock’ the 3 regions (Krokuun,…) one by one if you havn’t done it on an alt.
I did the intro for it on Broken Shore. Went to Dalaran to pick up Hands of Fate quest.
But before that quest becomes available you need to do “Uniting the isles” This used to complete directly. Now when I take it it says I need to grind rep with each faction to finish it. I was wondering if is there a way to bypass that.
It’s supposed to auto complete if you did it on another character - I’d suggest reporting it as a bug!
As Furydin said, if you done it on alt you should be able to bypass it. But i think doing (some of) the other Khadgar quests on at least one toon is necessary.

I completed the Hand of Fate quest. Last quests that I’ve completed was Alone in the Abyss and Overwhelming power. I haven’t finished the Argus questline (Last quests that I’ve completed was Alone in the Abyss and Overwhelming Power). I thought I was done, so I used my Hearthstone to get back to Orgrimmar. Now I can’t return to the Vindicaar to finish the quests. There’s no portal in Dalaran, and Lady Liadrin isn’t at Orgrimmar’s bay. Do you know how I can get back to the Vindicaar?
I also want to do the raids. But I HATE (REP) GRINDING so if this is needed i just ignore it. Grinding = torture and that doesnt belong in gaming. Imo.
After The Hand of Fate you should be sent to Stormwind Harbour and from there to the Exodar and then to the Vindicaar.
If you done those there should be a portal to the Vindicaar near the Dalaran Flight Master.
I’m on the Hand of fate part of the questline you are talking about but for me the boat doesnt show up in Durotar. Have anyone of you had this problem and found a fix? I tried relogging, reloading, restarting the quest etc but nothing works.
I have the same problem. Hand of Fate Quest is buggy… Lady Liadrin is not in Bladefist Bay and there is no Boat/ship or whatever. All my characters can port in the vindicaar through the Beacon of Light in dalaran but the console on the vindicaar ist not useable.
I havn’t done the Horde side quest, but I had the same problem in Stormwind with the boat phasing out. I’ts because the harbor is instanced by another quest you are on.
Solution: abandon all other campaign quests or complete them.
