I don’t think you understand how inflation works. An low/no barrier moneymaking method does not exist, and if Blizzard releases one, it will simply lead to a huge inflation. Everything will get much more expensive, and the prices will center themselves around this new activity, leading to the starting position in the long run.
didn’t WoD cause issues money wise with how easy it was to make gold in the garrison, which is why Legion had a whole bunch of expensive stuff like those multi million gold mounts.
I remember SL giving a few thousand in gold from junk in the dailies from those caches you got from your covenant, that stopped once DF came out
