My old character was in horde and actually after years I did an ally one.
The server is the same but when i try to send the golds to the ally the system tell me that I can’t. I tried to send some pieces of armor and it works…
Why not money?
Those “pices of armour” you sent were heirlooms, right? You can send “Bind on Account” items between factions and realms - but nothing else. Not items, not gold.
You can transfer the gold across, less the AH cut, if you have an accomplice, because you can’t juy your own auctions.
You can get the Ally to put up any piece of junk for sale on the AH for the amount you want to transfer.
You could also buy pets and learn them on horde then cage them on ally and sell.
if you are lucky you end up with more gold. not instant tho, might take a while to sell the pets
You can certainly do the pets selling thing, not only between factions but between realms. I buy and sell on multiple realms for profit. Well, I used to; too lazy and disconnected now.
But buying and flipping pets is very tricky if you don’t know what’s in demand, what breed(s), rarities, levels. Even if you do know, sales can be VERY slow and uncertain.
It can be done, but when on the same realm, that AH method with a friend is much more reliable.
Hey there, just wanted to chip in here, what Dottie mentioned is extremely important. The in-game support is unlikely to interfere with that kind of trade, so if you willingly trade your gold to someone else, you are at risk of losing it, if the other party does not honor your agreement.
