Well tbh that’s where I even got the notion to google the name of the person interviewed and that website was the second or third search result. But obviously if its up it means people do pay? But I dont understand it all it’s just kinda weird that people are paying 50k an hour or something for ‘Rp services’ and then the whole ‘we are under attack’ thing haha. I just didnt realise rp was this…uhm weird?
That’s not RP. It’s one person trying to make WoW gold by monetising cybering. AD isn’t Goldshire.

I could set up a page selling dust from bricks of new buildings built around lake Balaton but that doesn´t mean there´s a market for it.
Also, those “rp services” actually meant ERP since guild you mention was pretty much the most notorious and hated ERP guild on the server.
Yeah, they were under “attack” by people who want RP to abide by ToS set by Blizzard and want to remove people who break it.
Because it isn´t. This is comparable to GMs on Classic telling their guild members that if they play Shadowlands, they are out of the guild (because they obviously abandoned Classic if they play another game) or basically watching any Drama Time by Preach and thinking that stories about raiding guilds he reads are indicative of entire PvE population of this game.
Lunatics are everywhere and RP is not an exception.

That is not roleplay. It’s debauchery that gives every serious roleplayer on WoW a bad name. Normal roleplayers play out stories and take part in co-operative storytelling that gives you a chance to immerse yourself in the World of Warcraft like nothing else. You want to experience the life of a orcish grunt? Easily done. A gnomish inventor. You got it. A bitter Sylvanas loyalist Forsaken? Yes.
Normal roleplay is a way for players to experience the story of Warcraft from countless perspectives that give you a chance to flex your creative muscles and enjoy yourself in the company of other roleplayers who share this passion for immersion and storytelling.
The fact that this Goldshire stuff is the face of Warcraft roleplay is SICKENING.

C’mon chief that’s just putting something in one bag, if you did some reading you’d know the based people of AD would see these degenerates far from everyone and kept the game to ToS.

There is normal role-play, where you do play out your average WoW stuff (a wizard doing magic stuff, a warrior killing dragons) and then there is ERP, erotic RP, which is against the rules but a group of people does it regardless. The worst of it happens in Goldshire and if blizz can’t stop them, how are we supposed to?
But we’re not like that. For most people RP is a hobby like, say, being on a stage or writing a story. It should be about immersing into the setting of the game (and not project your fetishes).
Comparing all RPers to Goldshire RPers is like comparing all PvPers to those PvPers that disrupted an online funeral. Uncool.
