Good dps on dummy bad everywhere else

I keep doing 72k dps on target dummy for prolonged periods and then it goes down to 65k. But when I get on raid bosses I do 30-40k . 99% of the time last on damage meters. I dont understand. And yes I stick to the targets whole time using same rotation by using MaxDPS addon just in case. Can someone help me get this dps up with some tips? Thanks in advance.

You would need combat logs posted, so then people can see where you’re losing dps and why. You need to consider also that raids often have downtime moving between targets or dealing with mechanics, or even waiting for mob spanws (Nzoth for example) where the dps will be going down.

Also while on a dummy you have no mechanics to deal with, no movement and it’s possible (probable) that you’re simply not playing as well, delay between global cooldowns especially… I mean if you were for example following the same “rotation” but 20% slower (actions per minute) you’de do a lot less dps.

Traditionally the biggest problem people who are “bottom of meters” have when gear is equal (or close enough) is that they don’t press their abilities on cooldown, low APM, wasted cooldowns etc. You’re probably not spamming your abilities enough.

I feel like I am doing the same speed like on dummy. I mean Maut is not hard boss he is standing still the whole time and I hear dbm when I have to move with black circle and anihilation. And that is all. Other than that I treat Maut,Wrathion and Prophet as target dummy and dont think to much about mechanics on those two so I think I do same speed of rotation like on dummy. I am 99% of time focused on rotation from MaxDPS just like on target dummy, that is what I am trying to say. But I guess enabling combat logs and posting them is a good idea.

I’m not sure what MaxDPS is, other than the website by the same name from a decade ago. Logs are the only to way for anyone to really help, since these situations usually end up with players realising something they weren’t aware they were (or were not) doing.

Also, I highly recommend you look to the Warrior discord channel, these forums don’t get a lot of traffic while the discord has many skilled players active on a daily basis.

The major difference is that a Target Dummy is immobile and does nothing that requires you to move. In-game fights do.

Well, even though i cant tell you why there is so much difference, i can say you got way to less crit. You need some severe and your damage will increase massively. You only got 2 x tier 2. The singletarget-corruptions are servere + striketrough. when got crit above 50%, strike starts getting better. But you need to sim this. For me it was around 55% crit. Iris is garbage, play Guardian or atleast BotE.
