Good Luck with the Headless Horseman 🍀

Finally got my blue protodrake after over 600 runs… got the Brewfast ram on the last day of the event too… now working on Dragon Soul  I usually run 13 characters through everything to increase my chances a bit…but some really do take forever

Like I said. It fuels compulsive, addictive behaviours.
What you’re doing is insanely time consuming and is not healthy for you.

I’m not blaming you by the way. Blizzard know what they’re doing, and I find it shameful.

How many pvp matches do you do a week to get your rating? and what other content do you do in an average week?

I usually play about an hour or two per day.

None. Once a character is max level, I only play arena.
Maybe two hours per month of other activities for Trading Post completion but that’s about it.

Got the mount years ago. Still its the best holiday so I will farm everything I can.

So… You do two hours a day of arenas and think someone who does a couple of hours of 20 minute old raid runs is a more addicted and compulsive player than you?

It is no more addictive and compulsive than running multiple M+ or raids or arenas in a week.

13 characters in 10 minute content to kill one boss for a mount, mog or pet is not more unhealthy then you reaching for that rating to get some sweet looking gear in the next patch is it?? We can all spend our time as we choose pvpers, raiders, rpers, collectors alike

Don’t spend that much time on it tbh, and I enjoy mount farming, so getting my moneys worth imo

Not all raids are that fast. Ulduar takes ages, same for ICC, Dragon’s Soul or SOO.

Please make a video of you farming all old raid mounts with one character.
Then multiply that duration by 13.

I disagree.

With PvP and M+, there is a 100% guarantee that you will earn your reward if you’re good enough.
If I can “beat the game”, I will earn my KSM mount or my PvP title.

It’s much less predatory in design.

You can just skip to last boss on this one, ICC doesn’t take that long either imo, not done Ulduar for ages so can’t comment on that.

Lets get back on topic on wishing everyone luck for the mount/skin/pet/keyring :mage:

I run ICC regularly on a few chars and it takes 20-25 mins max. It still doesn’t change the fact that how I spend my time in game isn’t more unhealthy than how you spend your time in game.

I got the ram from brewfest after less than 20 kills, the HH mount on my 37th kill, ashes of alar in less than 20, most of the dragons in less than 10/15. Only invincible is being difficult but I think it’s because another forumer cursed me and I haven’t yet tried to lure it out of Arthas’ horse pocket with cake.

RNG is gambling.
Gambling is not healthy.

If a friend of yours wanted to build a house, I’m pretty sure “you should play the lottery!” wouldn’t be your first suggestion.

Again, PvP, reputation grinds and M+ have a clear path with a reward guarantee at the end of the road.
RNG loot does not.

The difference is the raids have a weekly lockout, you can just keep spamming your PvP over and over, increasing your odds to get your reward faster

Which is why you’re doing it on 13 characters, bypassing the lockout.

No, got it a few years ago.

Had no intention of running it this year until:

OK, I guess I should run this them. Hope it’s not a 1% drop chance.

or simply trying to get that manuscript for your dragon?

Meh, I’ve never used used one of these customisations on any of my dragons. Not something I care about.
When I do Dragonride, it’s on the first one we got in its pure uncustomised form.

And when you are trying to increase your rating you are at the mercy of the matchmaking and it’s RNG if you get a fair match or not. You will keep going at it until you succeed.

A mount farmer will just have a bunch of alts parked up outside an instance and whack through it efficiently.

I don’t know why want to always point fingers at others about addiction and rubbish when you’re all just playing a computer game.

Not in solo shuffle, where you play 6 rounds.
All players play in all compositions at least once.

It’s fair by design.

Still have to win, it’s still a grind, still have to get no leavers, to get to your magic number, it’s still the same addictive rubbish you’re spouting for others.

So out of order.

People play for fun, let people have fun without stupid labels.
