Did you try the hard mode?

Are you still after the mount? Are you there for the new Arfus dog pet or simply trying to get that manuscript for your dragon?

I will be after the dragon manuscript. I dropped the headless horseman mount on one of my early attempts to get it a few years back when I first started playing.

I did not know about the hard mode, but I thought it was a little more taxing than before. Only one try so far, got nothing of note.

I didn’t either, but there are four wicker men (Drustvar style) as you enter on the left hand side. You can talk to the big one to activate all four at once.

Is the mount and other goodies farmable ? As in can I attempt it on one and the same character ?

1 attempt per character per day.

It’s the same as Brewfest, one chance a day per character and the first character of the day seems to have the inflated drop chance from the cache.

Anyone else have trouble with the Wild Coast Candy Bucket in Waking Shores? Doesn’t have a quest for me

The healer didn’t realise that it was new, went in as a tank and started the encounter then panicked as we started dying.

We managed to kill him but the poor healer was expecting the old way of kill then try to kill the head; so relieved that wasn’t the case but someone had put curses on(?) I take it that is hard mode.

I was amused and got the helm! Is there a storyline somewhere about all this?

I’m not sure but I think a key can drop that starts a quest. I didn’t get it on my attempt today but friends have had it.

I wish I could trade the extra one.

I really dislike pure RNG, low drop chance mounts. It’s unhealthy game design and it’s not good for people who are prone to compulsive addiction.

Mounts should either be:

  • Locked behind a specific achievement
  • Locked behind a currency or reputation
  • Low drop chance, but tradable

Say no to RNG.

That’s why they changed it so they all work like the Love Rocket now. Inflated chance on first character of the day and the rest have a miserable low drop chance.

Don’t get me wrong, putting them on a vendor would suit me far better.
