Good time to level a Monk this week

I decided to level a monk after a long time of hesitating to do so, but there’s so many bonuses and conveniences right now…

  • 18 Anniversary bonus - 18% (need mailbox to get)
  • Wisdom bonus - 50%
  • Darkmoon faire carousel bonus- 10%
  • Mists of Panderia xp bonus in MoP content - 50%
  • World mode on bonus - 20%
  • Heirloom gear bonuses - % depends on what gear you have

Set your hearthstone to Goldshire so you can go back to the Darkmoon festival and grab the 10% bonus (too bad it doesn’t last 2 hours) then use the monk teleportation ability to get back to the MoP zone and get back to questing.

Sit in MoP dungeons queue and do the dungeon quests (don’t switch the dungeon queue even if it takes longer).

I’m sure there’s faster and better ways to level but if you’re solo casual player like me this is a chill and easy way to level an alt monk.

Just need to point out heirlooms don’t give you XP any more.

Also there is the XP potion.

Used Monk on Dark iron and Kul tiran just to try and spedd run the leveling.

Tho this was years ago.

But monk is very enjoyable.

Two set reduces rested XP consumption. Sure it’s not the same as xp bonus but it does help a bit.

Does this actualy works like that ? Isnt it 50% rep gains with mop?

Right, but there’s a quest in the temple you port to with the monk teleportation that increases rest XP, therefore, although I only created the character yesterday I still acquired tons of blue bar rest XP from even small breaks.
