I do not want this post to cause a big stir. Just a player since BC leaving the game and why I feel its best to move on…
To start, I loved the game (lore, collections, progession, pvp, satisfaction)
I had a lot of hope for shadowlands and gave it my all - levelling experience for me was good! Loved the feel of the zones and the general unknown.
Reached max level, and generally thought oh s**t there’s a lot to do this week (I am a teacher full time) - covenant dailies, WQ, orbios weekly (pve, pvp), torghast, maw, general dungeon runs (what ever difficulty)! The game was generally my down time from busy work life.
However, the game soon turned into a stressful chore! If I missed x,y,z I was behind.
Now there will be these players that state ‘you do not have to complete it all’ - However, as a player since BC you generally feel as you have to. If I miss torghast this week, how far behind will I be in the future for legendary matts etc. Will groups accept me to raids, ask for the ‘curve achievement’ or what is my ‘RIO’! I remember the days of standing in Dalaran for a gear inspection, the days I bloody miss!
What are my personal issues with the game (I’m not looking for a debate, MY personal problems, generally gutted I am hanging up the coat for good- fire away the troll elitist kiss kiss (area) players response of how it works so well for them)
-
Arena - just terrible, one shot classes, no real balance in the game - mythic/hc raiders can join and burn you (literally watched method in the world race farm conquest for extra gear and annihilate pvp players). The honour system gets you so far, however you are out geared with the raid launch.
-
Mythics - loot drop problems, toxic dps classes which shout skip ‘methods’ to
the tanks, which often leads to wiping (complain that much, roll a tank) - they will soon complain of tank shortages -
Raids - pugs are a constant leaving problem, guilds are too competitive which promotes a toxic environment (again what I have experienced) - strict schedule, meet this criteria or do not raid with us. Remember, its just a game
-
Anima - the new azerite, farm, farm, farm.
-
Generally, blizzards lack of engagement of the player base - unless you meet the top criteria
-
Lastly, you are generally screwed if you have more than one character - say goodbye to alts! Reputation farm, gear catch up, its all the bloody same these days.
Wish you all well with the game, I’ve had enough - its no longer enjoyable.
P.s You cannot have my gold, I gave it to the first level 10 character I saw,
Peace, enjoy the game if you can and farewell!
