I dont queue now in normal/hc dungeon queue, because there is little to no reason, maybe to get the augment rune to get some gold.
So i have no status on this right now. IMO it was a stupid short sighted change, which does more damage, than helping.

We had afk healer in our group standing at the entrance. Suggested vote kicking after 3 min timer passes. As soon as it passed I tried to put vote kick on AFK but there was another vote going on and I was removed

…at least until you kill the first boss, then no deserter buff. Be smart about your roasts, we all know there are folks out there who deserve it.
Ah yes… The banshee who laughs at idiot tanks, and because the tank was faceplanted proving he’s not the John Wick he thinks he is to save his blushes he lashes out and blames the person telling him he’s an idiot.
My advice?
Do nothing. Say nothing. Just sit back and enjoy the ride, watch and laugh at idiots, and if you die a few times, better to waste 30 seconds than 30 minutes.
Remember you’re playing a videogame where Blizzard continues to think the internet is capable of policing itself.

It’s unfortunate that happened to you, but grow up a little wait 30 minutes and queue again. It’s very simple.
If four people thought you should play instead of typing in chat, maybe that’s a valid reason to remove you as a liability in the dungeon.
This week, I met many players who were either going AFK through dungeons without contributing or trying to take a different path while the tank was speeding things up.
The kick system is good because, without it, imagine being held hostage by one person who refuses to adapt to the group.
The system works as intended.
If an entire generation of players believes speed-running is the right approach and you’re the one refusing to adapt, then you’re going to be replaced.
If you have a problem with that, use a premade group and manually create a group for your Timewalking dungeon. That way, you can avoid the random toxic environment you don’t like.
Suggestion which they never listen, maybe aside some bootlicker streamer, or wannabe self proclaimed “expert”, who tells you which spec which tier.
Weird, because they do. A suggestion is just that: A suggestion to improve a system, Blizzard may or may not do it in the same form or maybe it was tested and was found to be too problematic.
Issue still up, threads like these was there before this “change” happened.
And this mostly aimed for 1st boss leavers and not votekick abusers like op problem.
