Everyone’s excited and happy about the Warcraft direct.
Then you go on Twitter and find that people are whining about the Warcraft 2 remake because it reinforced stereotypes about race because Orcs are depicted evil.
(Even though Orcs aren’t representative of a race, rather a mix of warrior cultures mixed together like the mongols, the germanics, the vikings, etc)
I hope Blizzard is taking a stance against this toxic community that seeks a problem in anything.
Just so you know, Twitter is where the mentally insane hang out. oldies hang on facebook and we gamers hang on Reddit and discord.

There is a great deal of difference between the different subs, but I’ll say this up front: The default subs are pretty much all deranged. Dangerously, so. Just scrolling past the front page gives you several instances of near if not criminal behaviour, and certainly lots of deranged behaviour.
How about not inviting your family for Christmas because they voted contrary to you in an election?

Hopefully Blizzard have learned that those individuals are little more than unhinged grifters who are not worth listening to. Dragon Age: Veilguard is an overly sanitised mess as a direct result of such nonsense being taken seriously.
Same here, though even on sane subs the admins can pop up at any moment and go ham for no reason. For example, I got a warning for answering what the criminal age and age of consent is in Denmark. Just, someone asked the question in /r/Denmark, it’s 15 which is less than 18, I answer it straightforwardly with no memes or pictures or anything else.

I talked to the mods of the sub about it and they all shook their heads and said there’s nothing they can do.

Never used reddits, rarely use twitter and I haven’t used Facebook in over 5 years. Discord is pretty much what I normally use, but mostly for group/guild stuff, never for finding out news.
Many websites out there to find information, without having to read comments from people with only 2 brain cells, that are fighting over first place.
