I recently upgraded to a 3080.
Latest drivers, windows 10 pro ecc.
While doing some settings to optimize FPS vs quality, i noticed a very different FPS in BGs.
Then, with HW64 i monitored what was happening… and it seems that every time i enter a BG, the graphic card downclock itself for some reason.
It’s not a temperature related issue, since it stays at about 55°, and as soon as i leave the BG it will go up automatically at 1900MHz.
It seems something related to the game itself.
Someone has a similar experience / related issue?
Maybe it’s just under very low load? BGs are old small zones. Also with a 3080 you don’t really have to play with WoW settings to “optimize FPS” unless you are playing on a > 200 Hz panel.
