Graphics card driver out of date

Trying to play wow classic on a fairly old laptop, id assume it would be able to run a 20 year old game. I’m a bit of a PC noob so im not sure how to update/fix my graphics card driver, I believe my current one is Intel® HD Graphics 520

i think Classic borrows some of the retail graphics enhacements, thats why most likely dont wanna run or update.

Run WoW through Geforce Now on your old laptop.

Can I use GeForce on any laptop?

You can use Geforce Now

Try it out, there’s a free version but sessions are 1 hour long before you have to requeue.

That’s a 6th generation CPU bound graphics card.
This is like…old, really old. Skylake processor old.

Even though it’s WoW classic, it does run a more modern engine than the original game.
You can try updating your driver here:

  • Windows 10/11: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/764512/gfx_win_101.2115.exe
  • Windows 7: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/30195/a08/win64_15.45.5174.exe

But this is a really old piece of hardware and if it struggles, you’re not going to be able to do much.

SDIO Snappy Driver Installer Origin (Peer to Peer), try getting updated drivers through this or reconsider
Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA), if you still want to run it natively.

Please do not recommend the garbage that is snappy driver….

So opensource bad, got it

More the fact that they have been littered with malware.

Provide me proof of it and I’ll accept it.
Next you’ll say Rustdesk is also full of malware.

not the first time they got compromised, and not going to be the last time.
But you do you.

You know the OG developer restarted his version as he didn’t like what the others were doing with his handover? That’s SDIO, normal SDI is the other one.
