Graphics flicker after driver update

Updated my nVidia driver last night for Cyberpunk and now in WoW i have some strange flickering on some world objects (trees, ground etc) - any solutions, besides reverting the update ?

Same here with RTX 2060 SUPER, will have to go back to driver 457.30 for the time being.

Exact same problem here, everything is flickering really hard at different specific angles, everywhere. Installed the latest nvidia drivers for cyberpunk as well.

Same here.
After installing the latest driver, I’m noticing a LOT of flickering of assets.
It’s really bad.

Is anyone else experiencing NPC models flashing black?

Hey I’ve been having serious graphical issues for past 3 days, made a topic and ticket to support but still no answer and its driving me crazy.
Basically there are a lot of un-finished rendering happening at screen with almost on every object in screen but it’s flickering and very fast, sometimes there are extreme screen freezes which leads to forced screen switches between desktop and game screens till it eventually crashes the game and closes it.
I recorded some of the stuff happening, please if anyone has any idea to help me i’d be more than happy…

same problem here 2080ti

Same issue

Same issue here with 1080.

In regards to the mob or whole scene?

Mob/assets mainly here.
Sometimes stuff will flicker. Mostly noticeable in Ardenweald with those leaf carpets, and Yak merchant NPCs.

Also, re-downloading 457.51 driver. This is unplayable. Entire Ardenweald vegetation is flickering on me now. NVidia is back with the broken drivers for WoW it seems.

Blizzard do not own nVidia.

You would be better off reaching out to nVidia. The fact that it was fine pre-driver update clearly shows its an nVidia issue, not a WoW issue.

My 3080 returned from repair .I installed and shock -flickering .I thought card is damaged ,but looks like it is new drivers problem

Setting shadows to low fixes the issue but obviously doesn’t look as nice.

Got this problem too. (2070 super). Switching to DX11 seems to have ā€œfixedā€ the problem, but havn’t played a long session with it.

This is why you should never update your drivers if your current ones are working fine

I understand this is a driver problem, but can someone tell me if they have the issue of the mob flickering?

I had same problem 1660 Ti, I changed it to DirectX11 and then back to DirectX12 and it stopped flickering.

i have same problem with 2080 i chanced ā€˜ā€™ shadow Quality ā€˜ā€™ to low. and stopped flickering

Roll back to the previous driver.
It’s the least painful method and just wait until nVidia fixes the issue.

I’ve been playing with flickering back in the past when another faulty Driver got released. They haven’t repaired it even after a couple of Driver releases, until 2-3 months ago.
I had no intention to lower my WoW settings or switch to DX11, aware that it was on NVidia’s end.
When it got fixed, worked fine until NOW!

Now I’ve no intentions to update the Driver until this gets fixed.

So…

Do NOT take the latest Driver.
Wait until NVidia fixes it and then install it.
