my god the drama it’s just for a week just stay away from stormwind and nathanos and go there only if you need it , how dramatic do you have to be

Well in this case you are for a prepatch event that happens every 2 years , and in the case of the hindrance of this one every 10 years.
It is what it is , it’s not changing.
and that is a shame.

You don’t have WM on so there’s nothing to turn off. This is forced on you whether you like it or not.
The devs have decreed that this is fun so YOU’LL BLOODY WELL ENJOY IT.

Based on what you have written earlier I guess discussing this with you is futile, but consider this:
I have warmode off on all my toons right now. I get automatically pvp mode in SW. I can live with that. But even when I wait 5 mins for the warmode to go off I get infected at the Nathanos world boss and get pvp-mode. There seems to be a lot of people like you, people who thinks ruining other people’s gaming experience is fun. What is worse this time is that this is actually sanctioned by Blizzard

I never said it should be happening where Nathanos is , but the plague in SW/Orgrimmar is avoidable , the nathanos thing is a bug i assume

Actually they are acceptable , the only capital you “cant” (because you still can , just avoid the ghouls) is Stormwind or Orgrimmar

How are you getting infected there? Are these griefers in this topic going to SW/ORG then walking their zombie self all the way to the event?
I hate the event. it just isnt fun.
should be opt in/out like war mode. I dont want to have to deal with getting infected and being unable to do anything as im passing through a city, having to suicide, corpse run, revive and hope i can get away before being infected again.
Its pretty distasteful too, at a time where the world is grinding to a halt due to a disease, blizzard decides to have an in game disease that handicaps what little content there is left to do in the wait for Shadowlands.
They should have learnt from the last scourge invasion event that this kind of thing shouldnt be forced on players

No idea, may be a bug, but I was also infected at Nathanos, and I was also WM off, and not tagges PvP, and I know I didn’t activate it as I didn’t use any AOE attacks.

If you don’t care about the event, dont log in during it then.
This is a global event, it’s in no players hands. Things happen to the WORLD of warcraft that impact the whole …well…world.
Or you can just avoid the main cities since it’s most active there.
There are very very few zombie raids around to be honest. To the point where you need to be actively looking for them most of the time.
So let me help some of you out. If you are in a capital city that is infested by zombies: “/1 Can somebody invite me? Want to get away from these zombies”
Problem solved 
For Icc rares and Nathanos there are also dozens of groups at any moment. Just use that. It’s really not hard to phase swap so you should never really die more than once to them.
